My family and I went to the Butler Art museum for a Family Day. The event was held for kids in conjunction with the local library to incorporate books, reading, and art. The event was great for kids. During the hour we were there, the volunteers read two books, taught the kids about the currently displayed art(by Paul Jenkins), and finished with each child having the opportunity to create their own art. The event was themed around color and each activity correlated the same. Though there were a few rambunctious kids present, the event was a hit with all the kids and a great learning experience to introduce kids to the art culture in a fun way, and kept the kids engaged the whole time. The museum was small but was clean and ordered by the staff who worked great with all the kids. Overall, a good experience.
