We came here for an early dinner and i was very impressed by the formal greeting and place settings. The décor reminded me of an old italian home. The restraunt is obviously family owned. The shrimp scampi was absolutely delicious along with their combination platter of ravioli! Would recommend this restraunt to anyone looking to try authentic italian food and friendly service!

Wow! What a meal! We live in Los Angeles but every time we come to Warren, we stop into Chiodo’s for one of the best Italian meals in the world! The Gorgonzola toast and salad to start– followed by their freshly made lasagna-and finished off with the most decadent tiramisu you’ve ever tasted! The service is warm and friendly and the décor is cozy with a vintage charm that hints at the kind of old family recipes that are in store! Can’t wait to go back!

Food was excellent! We had stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer. Then they brought out a salad in a bowl for us to put on our plates. The salad was more then just lettuce and a few tomatoes like you get other places. The bread was very soft with a nice crust. Our main entrée, we decided on seafood Alfredo and it was outstanding. We will definitely be returning!

Between 3.5 and 4 stars. Solid entry with many options on the large menu. Prices are reasonable(a $ 4 glass of chianti in 2015??) and portions are generous. Food quality is very good and the service is personal. The owner walks the restaurant stopping at each table to ask patrons if they are enjoying their meal. Quite nice overall.

We started with a large bowl of salad with the(only) house Italian dressing. Entrees were the seafood Alfredo and the seafood fettuccini. Both delicious and portions large. Great meal and service excellent. Just the type of Italian restaurant that i love. Would give it a 5 had the bread been a bit more fresh but all else was excellent. Will definitely return!

We spent the night in Warren and this was the one restaurant the check in person at our hotel could tell us and after a little research online the ratings were good so we checked it out on a Saturday night. The menu had a good selection of meat & pasta. We both opted for pasta dinners and shared bruschetta. The meals came with a family style salad with italian dressing and bread. The prices were comparable with other italian restaurants similar to this, $ 11.99 for stuffed rigatoni $ 16.99 for shrimp scampi ravioli. The food was great, sauce was smooth and was perfectly simple and the portions were good sized. The employees were all very friendly and the service was great. We would definitely stop here if we were ever in Warren again.

We called late and were welcomed warmly. We both had veal, Marsala and Florentine, both the best we’ve had here. Service was excellent, Deb did(always) a great job. Baked potatoes were just right and as always the salad was tasty.

Stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner on a Sunday. The Alfredo sauce was amazing. The portions were a bit erratic. One veal dinner was 3 times the size of the other and both were the same price. Both tasted good, but disappointed with the difference. We will definitely stop again if we are in the area. Service was very good.

I’ve been coming to Chiodo’s for many years. It’s my favorite restaurant in Warren. But I’m conflicted about what rating to give for this place. I’m a pasta fan, so I’ve never tried the traditionally American dishes like smoked BBQ ribs. I’ve tried a variety of pasta dishes, though, and I agree with some of the other reviewers’ comments about bland flavors. The marinara sauce is relatively tasteless. In general, it tastes too«watered down» to me. The chicken scampi has the potential to be a really flavorful dish. The onions, olives, and other vegetables served with the dish are flavorful, but the chicken breasts don’t have much flavor. In a way, the dish depends on the olives for the saltiness it needs. In spite of the bland flavors, though, the food is not unpleasant. I always enjoy eating a meal here with family or friends. The quality of the food(freshness, size of portions, etc) is consistently good. And the service is professional and friendly. It’s an enjoyable place to eat, so I’m a fan of this place. I certainly recommend it.

This is a home grown Italian Restaurant. They have the best Italian salad dressing I have ever tasted. The first time I went there, I ordered veal picata and it was so delicious. I came back the several days later and order linguine and was equally satisfied. They have a large variety of entrées to select from as well as a nice variety of wines to go with your meal. I will try to go there no more than 3 times a week if I can help it!!!

Went for a function. 20+ of us. Food was served Family style. One entrée was Chicken Alfredo. Second was Meatballs. Chicken was dry, overdone and tasteless. Sauce was thick and again tasteless. I took some of the this home, and doctored it up with some garlic, and SALT. Tasted much better. Meatballs were dry too. Most likely previously frozen. Tasteless. No flavor in ANYTHING I ate. Even the bread was store bought and not even served warm. Dessert was good, but again lacked deep rich flavor.

Bland food, rushed service. We had lemon veal picatta and pasta. Overall not a great experience. Menu’s were sticky dirty too. I would not return here. Left and had dessert at the Plaza restaurant so the dinner meal wasn’t a total bust.

Southern Italian dining made fresh by a seasoned chef and staff. My favorite is the lasagna … portion is large enough for leftovers for lunch the next day. A very large menu with something for everyone. The service is excellent!

Hands down, no doubt about it, the best restaurant in Warren. It is basically a restaurant specializing in Italian food but has a large offering, even their own ribs done in their outdoor smoker/barbecue. It offers full liquor, has a bar, but the bar is small with few seats. People go to Chido’s for the food. Warren is notorious for having a lack of decent restaurants, and those that it does have only offer food of marginal quality as well as taste. When in Warren, you’re stuck in the sticks of Appalachia, hence my advice to you would be to keep your culinary expectations low. Besides having decent food, Chido’s is best known for two things. First, is its serving of a very impressive bowl for the table of house salad, always with fresh produce and with one of the better tasting dressings it has been my pleasure to experience. Also, Frank, the chef prepares his meals using only cast iron skillets. You’ll see a vast collection of cast iron skillets decorating the walls and I can assure you that Frank knows ever detail concerning each one of them. In addition to their regular menu, they always have at least four to five nightly special offerings, which I have always found delightful as well as flavorful. All of their meals come with a choice of sides including spaghetti with various sauces inclusive of simple garlic and olive oil. I happen to prefer garlic, olive oil and anchovies, so the one tip I would have is that if you prefer anchovies, bring your own as they don’t have them. They will be happy to take them and prepare along with your meal. The wait staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable and profession in every aspect. Since Chido’s is as good as it gets for Warren, which isn’t really saying a lot since the town is generally known for having less than desirable restaurants and food offerings, I’ve given it 5 stars. Chido’s is also open on Mondays when most restaurants in Warren are closed.

What a delightful suprise! I have been there twice since we moved here from DC. You can tell that the chef has skill. Bread is so yummy, burcetta hit the spot and the meals are always good. Last time I had the sampler ravioli and was very pleased. Steaks and ribs got a thumbs up too! Last time in the heat of the summer it got a bit warm inside… so don’t over dress. This place gets a big Yummy from this girl!

This is a really good option if you are in this area. The restaurant itself is really cute and cozy, though not entirely«intimate.» The bread and salad were fabulous. Our entrees(marinated and grilled chicken breasts-we were looking for something light) were fantastic. My mom loved her spaghetti side, I felt my linguini was a little overcooked, but the sauce was really good. I would definitely come back and would try the giant meatballs that looked amazing.

What a gem this unpretentious little restaurant is. The chef trained at the Culinary Institute of America and it shows. In addition to fine Italian dishes he serves steaks, home-smoked pork ribs, prime rib, etc. The early bird specials are amazing, considering the quality of the food. I had the brule(or something like that) which is similar to a pinwheel of beef with boiled egg, prosciutto, salami, and other tasties interspersed in the wrapped beef which is served on pasta with delicious homemade meat sauce. Wife had the stuffed manicotti which was wonderful. A family-style salad bowl is placed on the table, and the homemade wine and vinegar dressing was perfect. Glasses of wine are only $ 3.50. Our total bill, tax and tip included, for the two dinners was $ 20! Service was impeccible and the chef stopped by to see how the meal was going. Amazing.
