This is a must see haunted house if you are in Warren. The hayride is great! The haunted house is even better. I was in Ohio for the first time and in a small town like Warren you don’t have many options. My friends had been to this place last year and they loved it. They said this year was even better! We showed up at the end of the night so we were one of the last few groups to take the hayride to the haunted house. This was such a cool idea and the concept was executed perfectly! Its freezing out(ok its freezing for my Florida ass 44 degrees is cold lol), you wait in a pretty dark area for the truck to pull up to take you on the hayride which eventually drops you off at the haunted house located in the middle of a dark corn field, yea that’s right a dark corn field in the middle of no where small town(I think I saw that movie?! lol). So I was the last one to get on the truck and the last 2 sets of seats were open and my crazy mind thinks sweet! I sit down and all my friends get up to join me while grumbling a little cause they were too scared to sit in the back hahaha to bad… and it was totally worth it we were scared almost to tears I LOVEDIT! As you drive down this very narrow and dark forest you come up to different scenes where actors play out scary scenes from movies(think Jason, Freddie, scary clowns) and they jump on the truck and around it to pretty much scare the hell out of you any way they can… and they succeed! They detail to each set design and stop was amazing I was very impressed. As we come out of the forest we pull up to the haunted house. It not only looks scary from the outside but you can hear the screams from a distance coming from the house along with being surrounded by a corn field in the dark… after a scary hayride. This haunted house was scary as hell! I volunteered to go first but there were a few times I was absolutely petrified to move forward. If my friends weren’t pushing me forward I may have curled up into a ball in a few parts. I distinctively remember saying«don’t make me do it» lol but we obviously made it through. We were all sweating by the end! The thing that made this so scary was a few things, one the costumes were incredible. The detail and the scary factor was A+, two the actors were awesome on timing, sometimes I saw the scary guys before the group and they would purposely pass me up to scare the people behind me and sometimes they came right for me. Thirdly was they had this spinning vortex on the hayride and inside the haunted house. Its like this spinning backlight tunnel where you aren’t really moving but you feel like you are and your eyes play tricks on you. I had to crawl through the tunnel of scary people because I felt like I was going to fall over!!! Overall this was by far the best haunted house out of the 4 I had been to this Halloween season 2013. If I end up back in Ohio in October I will be sure to go back!
