I have been a customer here since the early seventies the shrimp was battered then and delicious for a long time they used breaded shrimp about a year ago they returned to battered shrimp. The fish and chicken are awesome nice friendly staff.

Service terrible and slow. There more worried about the drive thru. Than your inside customer. Cook blowing his nose.

I’m giving this place 2 stars because there is a silver lining in this dumpster fire of a restaurant… it definitely helps if you’re constipated. And usually pretty quickly. No other positives to say.

First time ever at Long John Silver’s. Was told there would be a ten minute wait. Twenty dollars for six pieces of greasy fish, onion covered green beans, Funyun tasting hush puppies, and cold fries. Will not be back.

Though I can cook, for some odd reason, I rather buy fish — not shrimp or crabs since I can cook those — just FISH, already cooked rather than cooking it myself. And when I get those cravings, I usually drive to Long John Silvers. I love their baked cod fish with rice but don’t mind the greasiness of their friend fish as well. The staff are always attentive. Depending on the number of customers they have though, your food may or may not be served promptly. This is really not a bad thing because I have observed — at least for the times I’ve been there — that they really DO cook the food AFTER you ordered it. I think the exception for this is the hush puppies. I even saw they literally put the fries on the fryer AFTER I made my order. The fish are definitely NOT precooked. IF ever they precook it, this Unilocaler was lucky enough NOT to be given a precook fish. Thank goodness because considering how greasy the fish are, if they were precooked, I can just imagine how soggy they would be once I get home and get them out of the take out bag. As a couple of Unilocalers already pointed out, they really DO have good hush puppies so make sure you don’t forget yours! I believe you get TWO for every combo meal you order. I dip mine in their shrimp/cocktail sauce. Try the crabcakes as well. They’re not as good as mine, but if I’m lazy cooking them for myself, theirs is a good substitute. :P Do I really need to say I will be back? ;)

Let me start off by saying I am not a big seafood person and I might eat it about once a year, with that said the one place I can always go when I get my craving for good seafood that isn’t over cooked or too salty, or gross is this place. The staff is friendly enough and if you need an extra minute they don’t rush you. Another favorite of mine from here is the hush puppies. Dipping them in tartar sauce is just the best.
