I’ve been coming here for years and it’s always been good. A true Detroit Coney Island, family owned and great food. Open all night.

I Love the fried shrimp dinner outstanding also love the French toast and sausage employees could be friendlier.

Awesome food!!! I am from Detroit but moved away several years ago. I visit Detroit twice a year and EVERY time I am in the area I stop by Nicky D’s Coney Island to get something to eat. I am partial to the Greek salads, chicken pitas and friend shrimp! This time I tried the chicken stir fry for the first time and it was very good.
Only once did I have a not so good experience. I think the cook was different and the waffle I ordered was overdone, hard. I didn’t say anything but I noticed the next order for a waffle was
I also like the friendliness of the staff. They have always treated me kindly and are good for a few laughs (when they aren’t so busy).

1 year ago, I would’ve given 4 stars for their Grilled Chicken Greek Salad, and still not complained about the price. Not sure what has changed inside the establishment, but the salads are now almost ½ the size! And their Greek dressing tastes more like pink mayonnaise. Going downhill at Mach 1.

everything is great here I don’t know why people are posting talking shitttt idiots if it was such a bad place and the service and food wasn’t good then why do they have over 10 locations and every time I go in there busy take your cheap/​broke asses to McDonald’s. Staff is rude, and there is no consistency with the food. Something is different every time.

I first tried the corned beef here in ’06. It was nothing to remember, just meh. I recently found out that it is the only 24 hr restaurant in the area, so I tried it again on midnight shift, 2:30 am. The coney was ok, not bad. The chili fries with cheese however, was really good. Unlike others, I was lucky to not have any customer service problems. I would go back, but to avoid the ghetto/​ratchet waitresses, I would only order carry-​out.

Great food, horrible employees. Rude loud & snappy. «Go head» «u ready» «u ready yet» I asked for one minute. Calm your snappy ass down. Someone will slap you.

Horrible, horrible, horrible, horrible customer service. If you want to feel taken care if as a customer, don’t ever go here. They get your food order wrong constantly by forgetting things, overcharge for your order and when they make a mistake — good luck getting the owner to rectify it! He’s as rude as they come. I put up with poor service for a while, but the owner not fixing their mistake was the final straw. I’d recommend any other coney place around over these guys.

Since Victor has left… not so great anymore. The waitresses make mistakes all the time. Here is an example «Hi this is for pickup» …“go ahead”…” I’d like a BLT on toasted wheat please”…” what would you like on it?” What would I like on it… how about bacon, lettuce, and tomato… when I got back to my office I enjoyed my BACON sandwich. I won’t go on, but… No I can’t resist! I ordered a cheeseberger with bacon… the waitress (a different one) asked me what I wanted on it… I said «nothing»… she proceded to write down all the stuff I didn’t want… my cheesberger came with mustard, pickles, and lettuce, and «Nicky D’s» sauce… she delivered it to me at the counter, and was totally oblivious to what she was handing me… it did taste pretty good though! Guess it’s worth the show… kinda like that «toast» scene with Jack Nicholson in «Five Easy Pieces».

Very good quality and tasty. The Greek grilled chicken is excellent and plentiful. Bravo
