Close, cozy, updated, a bit expensive, waitstaff was very busy because one party of 20 people kept ordering separately, hello people, the world DOESNOT revolve around you !! Great place other than that, I felt sorry for her !!!

Well, I got a good feeling entering the place. It has a decent area for Karaōke and chilling out. I came for the bowling, so I will only rate/comment on that. Well, the first obvious thing was no air circulation. Their A/C was broken, and they had a limited number of fans. So, there was a relatively musty air in the place. Hey, it is what it is, and I can suck it up. It’s not a big deal, but certainly worth noting. The TV screens were relatively worthless. Occassionally they worked, but most of the time we couldn’t view our scores on the overhead TV screens and had to look on the smaller screen that we inputted our names. Our balls frequently got stuck. One ball had a huge circular scratch mark from being stuck and rotated repeatedly. Im not a bowler, but if you are, don’t bring your own ball and risk it being significantly damaged. We went on a Saturday night, and so they had ‘glo bowling’, which is supposed to be like a cosmic bowling, I believe. This was a sad thing to see. Technically, they did have a couple of random black lights, but nothing to be impressed by. The back was also lit up, which undermines the glo bowling. It wasn’t really festive. Overall, nothing worked properly. The TV screens, the A/C and fans, the actual lanes, the glo bowling part of it. It’s not ridiculouly priced. But it is clear that the money they receive isn’t going towards the bowling alley that is falling apart.

I have not been to Pampa’s in a couple years, but the experience left me speechless. First, the air conditioner was«broken» and when we asked to either have a fan brought down or be moved to a lane where there was a fan, we were told no. I then looked up and saw a ceiling fan above our lane not spinning, which I assume was broken, along with everything else. The TV that tells you which lane to bowl on was green for a while, going in and out, and eventually died. The lane refused to send our bowling balls back, so we had to call the front desk at least 4 times. Once, the ball return put a huge gouge around the entire perimeter of a house ball, so I put my own bowling balls away(I assumed they wouldn’t be fixed if the same happened to mine). The crowd was also very interesting. One«man» was completely wasted off of Mike’s Hard Lemonade and appeared to be served even after he fell on the floor and almost took out one member of the staff. One staff member smoked in the doorway to the only fresh air in the whole joint and it all blew back into the stifling hot bowling alley. Also, at about 11pm, one lady seemed to be rocking her baby to sleep in her baby carrier. Overall, other than the people watching, this was a completely unacceptable bowling alley. The prices were high, the service was rude, and everything seemed to be broken. I am actually surprised that the ratings for this bowling alley are anything above one star…

I love bowling, and this place is a clean and friendly bowling alley. The bar is huge and clean. The drinks were good, a bit overpriced(not by much) but good for a bowling alley. My favorite local place to bowl.

Had a Birthday Party there for my 3 year old and it was just ok… the servers did not really check on us at the lanes to see if we needed refills on soda’s etc, when they put our order in for the food they messed up big time, the pizza for the kids was already included in the party package and they asked us how many adults we had, we just assumed it was so they would make sure there was enough place settings in the party room when we were done with bowling. then my husband put in an order for pizza for the adults and when we got the food they kept bringing out pizza after pizza and we were confused. when they took our headcount of adults they just assumed we were also getting pizza so when my husband also ordered pizza they put in that order as well so we had like tons of pizzas no one confirmed anything with us. they did take care of it and not charge us for the extra pizzas but seriously? Also when I reserved the party I said we would need the ramps for the balls bc all the kids were 2 and 3 and the day of there was another group using the only 2 ramps in the whole place and they were older kids who did not really need them. The pizza was good and they did fix their mistake but the servers were young girls who were kind of ditzy and we saw chatting down the way several times not even checking on us and we had quite a large group. Might be ok to bowl there with a small group but I wouldnt have another event there seems like they cant handle a large party

Lanes are really nice and so are the prices. my only real complaint is the place needs to be a little cleaner.

I love Pampas! I usually bowl here 2x a week. Good thing I don’t have a stalker or me revealing that could have been dangerous. =P I always come here with a big group of my friends and family. We come here so often that the employees here all know us and they’ll often bowl with us. I actually see the people who work here probably five times as much as I see my parents. I think I need a new hobby. =/ Or maybe I don’t have to quit bowling and just see my parents more. :)

This is totally my most favorite bowling alley in the Detroit area. Best bartenders, best balls, best specials; so much fun!!!
