It’s a Subway. Let’s not over think it! There’s bread, meat, vegetables and sauces. You tell them what to put on the bread, and watch them do it. Sure, they can be rude or friendly, but there aren’t too many variables. My visits to this location have been pretty good, but again, I don’t expect too much. I would definitely return.

I had a long, drawn-out negative review here from 2012. Basically, I had been treated poorly by several of the employees, who didn’t seem to be trained properly and who had chips on their shoulders. Then the restaurant was sold to someone else. Almost immediately, the new manager also treated me badly, refusing to give me my sandwich unwrapped(I was eating it in the restaurant and didn’t need it wrapped in the huge sheets of paper they use). I didn’t go there for a couple years. Then the manager was fired, so I started going back again in 2015. Since then my visits have been mostly good. Subway restaurants always put very meager amounts of meat on their sandwiches. In addition, the quality of the cold cuts they use is poor — many of the red-meat cold cuts are made from turkey instead of beef or ham. The slices of meat and cheese that they use are extremely small, much smaller than the slices of cold cuts you’ll get at the supermarket. Indeed, the cheese slices are ½ or less the size of pre-package cheese slices.(Yet the pictures show the sandwiches overflowing with meat.) Because the amount of meat and cheese that they use is so small, I mostly stick to the egg sandwiches. The pre-cooked egg patties that they use are fairly generous, so I feel I’m getting my money’s worth. In general, you can expect to get more meat for your money at Burger King or McDonald’s. Of course, the burger places don’t have a dozen vegetables that you can put on your sandwiches. When I was eating there a few years ago, the tables were often dirty(I don’t know if that’s true now). They don’t recycle, so there is no recycling bin to throw your recyclables into(the law requires them to recycle, but they don’t). The recycling laws are not enforced in Rhode Island, so very few businesses recycle — it’s a shame.
