DJ Jake was really professional throughout the entire process from email, to interview, and our wedding day. DJ Jake was my top pick after speaking with several DJs and DJ companies in the area. DJ Jake has top equipment, up lighting, and is capable of being your Master of Ceremony with no stresses. His quality of service, and experience is above what you will require. DJ Jake’s rates are also more reasonable than most professional DJs. He does enjoy mixing and transitioning into trance/​club type music, if you don’t like this make sure you note this up front. If you go with DJ Jake for your wedding, leave the stress and worry behind because he will take care of the music, and announcements for you.

My father was a DJ back in the 80’s, so I let him do the research to find a DJ for my wedding this past September. My father is extremely picky when it comes to this kind of stuff, and knew from experience that a DJ can make or break a party.
After reading reviews of Dream Day DJ’s, he got in touch with Jake, who was helpful, personable, and honest about his services. Throughout the entire process, Jake was available to us via email and phone. He made time to attend a meeting with my wedding coordinator to discuss schedule and logistics, which really put my mind at ease. He offered his expertise when asked, and I really appreciated his opinions based on his experience.
When the day/​night finally came, he read the crowd the entire time and would change up the plan accordingly so that the night ran smoothly (always coming to me to ask my thoughts on a change). He had a great mix of songs, both old school and new, to please the older and younger generations that attended my wedding.
Overall, we were so pleased with his services. He was very professional, but also kept the night light and fun. He is a master at smooth transitions and has a great presence as the voice of the night. I would totally recommend him for any occasion.

Wow. Where to start? We feel so lucky to have gotten Jake to DJ our wedding. If there is one place where you do not want to risk a discount service, it is at the DJ position because they have a disproportionate role in your reception – and possibly your wedding if they are assisting with that. DJs manage your reception and a good one can take a lot of pressure off you to keep things smooth. We felt Jake’s rates were both competitive and fair – we thought we got a great deal for the service we received!
Jake is a consummate professional and listens intently to what you want, provides his own expert – but humble – insight, and will execute the plan you’ve created with the utmost efficiency. Jake ran the reception flawlessly. He has a great style that compliments weddings perfectly, as it’s not about him – he knows it’s about you.
Our wedding was awesome – many folks told us it was the best one they’ve ever attended. The right mix of many things had to come together in order for that to happen – the weather, the venue (thank you Stoneleigh Golf Course!), the couple (thank you, us!), the friends, the food… Jake was the thread that helped tie it all together.
The next time we get married, we hope Jake can come back and help make it a smash success like this one!

Jake ended up not being the DJ we contracted with, HOWEVER, he was VERY responsive to my initial inquiry, and drove all the way out to us in Maryland during the week late at night just to interview with us. He provided us with a professional brochure and was dressed in a tie. He was very sweet and very cool. He didn’t talk over me or care that we were a little late and picked a Starbucks that closed early. Oops. The point was, he was happy to drive out to wherever I wanted. He was extremely understanding and patient. I like that his demeanor and temperament was very calm and collected; he would have made a great DJ for us had our budget not been as tight as it was. Our budget just didn’t allow for his services this time around, but I highly recommend him! Book with him early! He seems very busy :)

I can’t recommend Jake highly enough. I was a little nervous about having a DJ because of others I’ve seen at weddings. My husband really wanted one though and found Jake. He was incredibly professional and excellent at what he does. He had wonderful equipment and a great, unobtrusive setup. I made the entire playlist, and he procured every song he did not already have. The dance floor was filled the entire time, and people are still raving about our reception over a year later.

Jake did a fabulous job as the deejay at our wedding. He worked the ceremony and the reception. He had a separate system for the ceremony and also provided a wireless microphone and a separate mic for our reader. His timing is excellent and he is very flexible and professional. He was great at moving the night along and making sure we were happy with how the night was going. We had some obscure music selections, and Jake either found them or we sent files for him to download and use. He worked within our budget as well. We’d highly recommend him!
