I wanted to let readers understand what Erin K. is continuing to go through because of Matt and Erika Photography. Their lack of good customer service has created a major issue in booking another photographer. I am Erin K.‘s husband and this is our first child. We wanted the maternity and newborn photos to be special. After booking the first dates they increased their prices then cancelled on us months later and«apologized for the inconvenience». They did not keep the prices they quoted us. Not only was this unacceptable, because we had to reach out to them after we found out they increased their prices, but now because of their ineptitude they have created a situation where we have to find another photographer when most are now booked. The timeframe we have now has been shortened so much that finding someone we like who has availability is close to impossible. I want them to know that they have made an experience that should be filled with excitement, joy, and happiness one that is time consuming, cumbersome, and stressful. I think that you lack professionalism, honesty, and integrity. I personally own a business and if I treated my customers the way you have treated my wife and my family I would quickly be out of business. You have made this a memorable experience in every bad way imaginable. Also, just because we did not have our photos taken does not mean that business was not conducted. You should really understand how an ethical and honest business works before you open one. Thank you.

I had been working with Matt and Erika Photography since Feb. 12. We had picked a package that worked well for my maternity and newborn pictures. We picked a date for the maternity photos, and I paid them my deposit. I became aware that their prices had increased on their website SIGNIFICANTLY(over $ 1500). I emailed them to verify that my own price would stay the same as it was when I booked them in Feb. I received the following email from them today: Hi Erin, we apologize for the delay in our response due to the holiday weekend. We regret to inform you that due to our current photography work load and my husbands other full time job, he is having to work 80+ hour weeks and therefor we are needing to slow down. We will unfortunately need to cancel your package. We will be refunding your $ 75 deposit and apologize for the inconvenience. I find this to be completely unacceptable on many levels. Instead of cancelling existing customers, Matt and Erika Photography cancelled those who had already thought that they were committed. I personally think that the real reason that I got canceled is because I asked them to verify the cheaper cost for the sessions. If you all are looking for a RELIABLE and PROFESSIONAL photographer– these are not the people for you!
