Horrible place! They don’t deserve ANY stars. After 2 trips, they still can’t get my prescription right, so every time I go back I’m angrier. The staff, is actually worse than the optometrist, who is either incompetent, or just doesn’t give a crap. And, I had to end up paying double, to go someplace else, to finally get the correct prescription for my contacts AND glasses. My fault, I should’ve done my homework and read reviews but, I won’t make that mistake again! DON’T GO TO SHENANDOAH EYE CARE!

If I could rate negative stars, I would. The only thing I can clearly see now is that this business — all 3 locations and the owner, Dr. Gowan, care nothing about customer service and the quality of the glasses they sell. I bought glasses from the Warrenton store in February and within 2 weeks called back to ask about the eyestrain and headaches I was getting… I had to BEG someone to call me back, and after more visits to the store and written letters to Dr. Gowan, the owner, I got NOTHING!!! They ignored me as much as possible, but I persisted with phone calls. I paid over $ 400 for glasses and exam. Their «solution» was going to cost me AT LEAST an additional $ 100, so I used the prescription and bought glasses online for $ 47. So I had glasses that work for me, but Shenandoah Eye care refused to even reimburse me half of my money for glasses I can’t wear! Finally, after months of calls (me calling them, because they do NOT return calls as they state they will), one person said she was authorized to replace my glasses with sunglasses, at no additional cost. Within 2 days, I got a letter in the mail stating the service was complete, and the best they would do for me is 50% off my next purchase there. HA!!! I would rather put a stick in my eye than go there again!!! I very patiently waited– all the times I was told by office managers «you will hear back from me in 10 – 14 days»…and NEVER got a call from the elusive Dr. Gowan. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and they ignored that too. So this is it… Take my advice, and RUN away from Shenandoah Eyecare as fast as you can!!! Today is the 30 day expiration of my BBB complaint, and I am making my online review known. I was more than fair and patient with this bunch of liars (have you seen the load of bull on the website??) and hope my review saves someone else this headache and loss of money. Thanks for NOTHING Shenandoah Eyecare and especially, Dr. Gowan — your ethics are pathetic, and your staff and business practices are equally deplorable. I would have sued you in small claims court, but I have other things to do and have spent enough energy on this. All I can say is Karma will find you…

Made an appointment for my husband’s eye exam for 3:30 in the afternoon. It was easy to make an appointment for the same day, however the visit took over an hour & a half to be completed & he didn’t even select glasses. Seemed like too long. I’m sure the doctors here are very thorough, but I was frustrated waiting for him. Staff was not very friendly to our children although they do have some toys in the waiting area.
