I wasn’t going to write a review because it has been a few years. I changed my mind when I was recommended to this store read previous reviews. I had some very expensive suite tailored overseas, about 10 of them, 2 boxes of shoes and various other pieces of clothing, After about a week I went back and the lady said none of the suits sold and they donated them. I was livid to say the least!!! I know they probably took them themselves, sold them or whatever. There is no way they didn’t sell and they decided to donate them. I came to this conclusion when one customer said she found her items consigned in another stored under a different account… what!!! Unprofessional, inconsiderate and just plain bad business. As one customer stated I do not see how they stay in business. Don’t waste your time even if they do have good items to purchase.

Very rude condescending lady refused to even look at items. When asked specific questions, she pointed to signs on the wall rather than answering. When i was taking a full load out to my car she gave some condescending comment about how i was forgetting things even though she saw my hands were full and i told her I was coming back for those. She didn’t like when i looked at items being sold in the store. Isn’t that something she should want to happen? They don’t take a lot of things but by the looks of the shop, they are no fashionistas! .

Wow, wish I read previous reviews before giving them my items to sell. Holiday sellers BEWARE! I have been a loyal customer for over ten years and just started bringing my items to them this year. My first round was great and made some money. This second and final round was not good. You are given five days from the end of your consignment to pick up your items. Well, I was only given 3 and half due to Thanksgiving, which no one told me they were going to close early on the fourth day. I called to see if I could come in the day after Thanksgiving since they closed early on Wed and were closed on Thanksgiving and got a flat out no. I called three times to try to plead with them, there is definitely no holiday cheer with them, at all. They don’t care. I had to settle for them to send me a check and a donation sheet. I have always praised them to others and tell folks to go there, now I will be saying how they rip you off to keep your stuff. They keep making people upset, word of mouth will close them for good.

They offer some pretty nice items but be prepared to pay for them. For an consignment/thrift shop, they are way overpriced.

Meh. They are not very thorough, your teenager will probably do a better job to be honest.

I no longer sell here: 1) My items started rarely selling since they’ve moved &, when they do, I barely make $ despite seeing them marked on rack at decent prices. 2) I’ve seen 3 of my non-sold items at another shop in town, right afterward!(That tells me they don’t really donate to where they say & make profit from my items while I do not). Clothing & other items are overpriced & there’s less selection/quality than at other consignment shops, even though I’ve shopped here & bought things on the clothing and décor side. The shop used to be better in all respects. Staff aren’t very friendly. In summary, my least favorite local consignment choice.

Get there early or they’ll kick you out 10 minutes before closing! Cute things but not customer friendly. This relocation is small, lots of used clothes & not the great furniture & other finds the old store had. Thrift store sad.

It’s convenient they are not far from me. So I can sell books or other items I no longer use. But the customer service is far below what should be considered passable. I was in line to pick up some money from a previous consignment. The lady in front of me was done so the woman at the counter asked how she could help and I told her. Then the woman previously in front decided to ask if she could leave a few more item to sell. Instead of kindly asking the lady to wait one moment she stopped helping me and helped the other woman. I asked the woman at the counter to finish helping me since I was next and she said no. I also found out if you have items from old navy, walmart, kmart and a few other places they will no longer except these brand because they are cheap and only want to sell trendy fashionable items.

New tiny location! It seems to be retail prices for used items. The store has really gone downhill since moving to this new location. It was a let down going in there after trying to track the place down. Whatever they changed in the move they need to change it back!

What a neat little consignment shop! As a buyer, I was pleased with the home interior loot in the front of the store – a copy of Michelangelo’ David in bust, several odd bits of Saffaviyeh furniture with tags attached, and a gorgeous set of Bavarian-made Gorham china(service for 14) gently used and at substantial savings. I wasn’t interested in the clothing selection, but could see many bargains among the home goods displayed. I received warm and specialized customer service and my purchases were wrapped with care to ensure safe travels back home. If Warrenton werent so far away, I’m sure I’d be back more frequently.

One of my favorite places to kill an hour or so. I have purchased everything from clothes to trinkets to shoes to clothes. Generally the merchandise they sell is better than your typical consignment store.

It’s kind of hit or miss at The White Elephant. Sometimes they have great finds(a missing cookbook in my collection for $ 5) but other times you go in & there’s nothing appealing. Of course it’s also all in what you’re looking for — which is what makes the«someone’s trash someone’s treasure» saying so true. It’s definitely worth a browse to see what you can find!

Wow, great place! It’s really a consignment shop for the most part so not everything is Goodwill pricing, but there’s some great finds here. I had a lot of fun finding and digging through all of the racks and houseware items, trying to figure out what I could fit on my suitcase to bring back with me. A fabulous little stop for anyone who’s thrifty and loves a good find!

I had the pleasure of finding this little jewel while visiting my girlfriend down in Warrenton. I found a french themed café painting for $ 25. I had been looking for one to go in my foyer for almost two years. They had a good selection of above average thrift store items!
