I have nothing but good things to say about Gateway Kia. I got a great deal. I have had a great experience for service every time I went including my first free inspection and recalls.

These guys suck big time. After an hour on the phone with the rep with much hype and promises the sales person had no clue what I was looking for, he showed us a car we did not want and then tried selling us a more expensive car. Stay away.

I’m usually a laid back person in terms of reviewing, in the way that I side with the positives and generally give higher scores than the average person. However, at this car dealership, I have nothing good to say. I went with my father to look at a 2014 Kia Forte and Optima, as a favor since he is very nervous/impressionable when it comes to high pressure sales. When I say this was a «favor», it was because I had just gotten out of emergency surgery 2 days prior, and wasn’t feeling too hot. He hadn’t gone to any other dealerships yet, and only wanted to spend about a ½ hour looking(and absolutely not buying) because I wasn’t suppose to be out of the house too long. When we got in the typical sales banter happened, our sales man seemed pretty nice. My dad looked at both cars, test drove one, and attempted to leave. They gave the song and dance about«buying today», which I expected, but MAN they wouldn’t let up. I myself would’ve just walked out, but my dad gets flustered in these situations, and can’t seem to easily do that. I told our salesman that I was hopped up on meds and pumped full of CO2 because of my surgery, and it would be in everyone’s best interest that we left. We started to leave, and he ran to get the manager, the manager literally talked to us at the door. To my disappointment my dad was worked down and bought the car that day, and we ended up being there for 2& ½ hours. I will give it to the dealership they they can’t force you to stay & my dad is a push over, but they will literally chase you on your way out of the building. They had no concern for the customer, and I was visibly livid on our way out. I didn’t shake either the sales person or manager’s hand, and filed a complaint. Never ever ever shop here. I got a 2014 Kia myself from another dealership of my choosing, on my own– the same exact car– and paid $ 7000 less than my dad paid here. Do your research, talk to multiple dealerships, and never buy from one that treats you as only a sale.

I purchased 2 vehicles from gateway Kia(Ed Bussinger, principal) in the last 30 days. First one was smooth sailing, the second one was disastrous. The day after I bought. It, I started having intermittent electrical issues and I took the car back requesting a different vehicle. The vehicle had 62 miles on it. They wouldn’t even broach the subject, they told me to let them fix the problem, and being an auto business professional. For 40 years I told them that intermittent electrical issues can become a chronic issue and frankly I didn’t want to have to deal with it. I even suggested upgrading to a more expensive model, just to escape the possible nightmare of electrical issues. The kind service mgr, did his best to try and appease me after acknowledging the problems, seeing them for himself. The next day the car was dead and I gave it a boost with a jump box and all the issues Seemed to disappear, for at least the time being. I was told that probably the battery had a low state of charge which could lead to all kinds of erratic problems, and that everything seemed fine now that the computer had been reset by my hot box boost. Well…no such luck. Now 13 days old, I came home from a trip to the airport 70 miles from my home only to have a repeat performance only this time, a boost wouldn’t have any effect. I called KIA Road service, and they advised me they would only tow me 9 miles to the nearest KIADEALER… of course closed on Sunday. Bottom line, I laid out $ 270 out of pocket dollars. To get towed back(70 miles) to my home. Tomorrow, I am planning on getting it down to my local dealer(gateway Warrington) prepared to go to battle again. I feel I got the dirty end of the stick here. They have to step up here or … .TOBECONTINUED…

By far the WORST experience I’ve ever had trying to buy a car!!! The salesmen here are down right awful! Please stay away from this dealership! All they do is lie to you, give you the run around, and blatantly disrespect you. Ooh, and when the salesman(and I use that term very loosely) attempted to sell me a car and couldn’t be of any help, I was pawned off to the«Sales Manager» who attempted to blatantly lie to my face and give me conflicting info from what his associate just told me. Not to mention they jack the prices of their KIA’s way up! WORSTCARDEALERSHIPEVER!!!
