Bennigan’s

Ok so I accept the fact that Bennigans is not as good as they once were. This particular Bennigans has the worst service I have ever seen. I understand that at the time they are renovating, but there is a bar and it amazes me that a bartender can look at you with no drink, twice, and not ask if you would like a drink. Just as I was about to leave from non service another waitress noticed and asked if I wanted a drink. When I needed another there was no service, and finally decided I wanted to leave and took another 10 minutes to get a different waitress to bring me my check. Really? This place is attached to a hotel, I had every intention of having a couple drinks and dinner… as a frequent business traveler to this area not only does the bad service affect the restaurant, but will influence where I stay next time I an in town.

Wife and I went on a Friday nite. Seated promptly in the dinning room in a nice booth. Inside was clean. Here comes our server and we order drinks and appetizers. The menu is not too big but with items we both like. Now our drinks arrive. Wife’s drink is correct and tastes good. Mine is missing the extra hanger of tequila on the side and my glass is chipped. Back it goes. Back with my new drink, still no extra hanger of booze like the picture in the menu, turns out they never got the little hanger things from corporate. It ok, it tastes great. Apps arrive and they are good, potato skins and broccoli bites. We order dinner and ask for more napkins. Wife has no fork in her napkin, requested one. Up to this point service is ok but going downhill as the place starts to get busy. We see our server all over the restaurant and wave to her when we need another drink. Finally the new drinks and salads. Drinks are still great, salads are a good selection of greens and toppings but poor quality dressing. Salads and apps gone and no server or food. Wave to the hostess who has somehow become our new server. He get our server to bring our food. This is the last time we see our server. My chicken sandwich is overcooked and not good. Best thing on my plate is the french fries, they are great. Wife’s sandwich is a Irish beef dip. Again her fries were better that the sandwich. Dinner is over and we wave at the hostess. He takes our dessert order and cleans our plates. No sever. Manager brings out apple cake and it is ok, not made in house more Gordon Food Service. Time to leave and by now the hostess is watching us, he IS our server as our server is in the back of the place with a party of eight he tells us. The bill and a box, can’t end quick enough now. Will not be back to eat. Will be back to sit at the bar and drink and have an order of their fries.

The Fish and Chips was very tasty. Really liked the jalapeño Tatar sauce. Service was good. Dining room is far enough away from the bar that it isn’t too loud. Will most likely eat here again as it is attached to the hotel I am staying in for a week.

It isn’t often that a restaurant hits the TRIFECTA of DISGUST. Bennigans has expensive, disgusting food in a dirty, grimy space. Service is horrible, and any perceived «extra» results in a charge (switching one dressing for another?). It is attached to a hotel, providing its room service, but be warned that the listed prices on the room menu don’t apply and when your disgusting food arrives, it will be cold with no standard salt, pepper or hot sauce. THUMBS DOWN.

Went here on a Friday night, wait was 35 minutes & acceptable for my BF & I. There didn’t appear to be a lot if people waiting so we thought it would be sooner. In walks a family of 6 who did not want a wait at all & immediately insisted on being seated. This man literally had a fit & got his way after asking for the manager & repetitively demanded to the hostess to be waited. Tho rude man bluntly did this in front of my BF & I who were obviously there before his family. The hostess gave in & sat him before us. This is unacceptable service & unbelievable behavior this man was rewarded… what an example set for his children! We immediately left & will not come back. Luckily we came across Downtown Eatery in downtown Warsaw on Unilocal

We went to Benningans on August 16^th, with two other couples to have some adult beverages and maybe an appetizer or two. We come into Warsaw a lot, my boyfriend has family that resides there, and we always stay at the Wyndham and use to always eat at Benningans. NEVER EVER AGAIN. We simply went for drinks, and two of our guests ordered wings and then a Monte Cristo. Ben was our server, and how this man still has a job is beyond me. Our service at Benningans in Warsaw has usually been satisfactory, until that night. It appeared our server Ben may have been on something, whether it be booze or illegal substances. It took us an hour and a half to get the wings that we ordered, and we had to remind Ben at least 5 times about the wings and sandwich. After 3 hours of sitting there, we never did receive our Monte Cristo. Ben knew we were frustrated with the slack of service, and NOT GETTING HALF OF OUR TWO ITEMS ORDER! When he brought the check out to us, he said to us, I took off everything I could from your bill. I opened up our bill, NOTHING WAS TAKEN OFF. When he came back to collect the tab, I asked him if that was a joke, not a damn thing was taken off. He said no, let me go talk to my manager. Fearing not seeing him again, for another half hour, which is what happened all night, I told him just run the card, we wanted to go. He came back with our tab, and had removed our wings. I am sorry, but at that point, it was too little to late. We all still had drinks on the table we were enjoying when he came to collect our tab. We don’t ever use our card for tips, we always use cash, so there was no tip on the slip. Ben walked away from our table, and opened up the bill to see what he was left. About a minute later he came over to our table and said, «Thanks for your understanding and thoughtfulness» like a complete jerk and walked away. My boyfriend said to him, hey bub, your tip was going to be in cash. Ben continued to walk away. Who does that, it was so incredibly rude. After that, he went and got the vacuum and started vacuuming right behind our table, while we were still sitting at our table, now TRYING to enjoy our drinks. After he was done vacuuming from just behind our table, no place else, he came and bused our table, while we were still sitting there. He took our glasses, the ones that still had our drinks in it. I have never in my life experienced such rude and unprofessional behavior. That was day one of our 4 day visit, and Benningans has forever lost my business, and the other 5 members of our party. How Ben is capable of keeping a job, is beyond me. I have worked in the customer service industry before, and you DONT TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS THAT WAY. We had much better service at the American Table, Ruby Tuesdays and Applebess. I am sure they appreciate your horrible service.

This Bennigan’s apparently survived the chain as a whole going under. And it’s a good place to eat! It’s actually improved since the main chain went bankrupt some years ago; it appears whatever new management is present is doing a much better job.
Each time I’ve been here, there has been good food and good service, better than the Applebee’s next door. Try the fish and chips, and ask for the onion streamers. Worth spending your time and money here.

Amazing lunches, great food. Service is average at best, but the meal is usually worth the trip.

The atmosphere is bland. The food is alright. The prices are a little high.
The wait is generally long.
I’d suggest going somewhere else.

We have been going to this restaurant since they became part of the Ramada.
The wait staff is great, the service impeccable, and the food is wonderful.
They actually remember us, from year to year. We show up for Saturday breakfast and the same staff has been there for years!!!

Wow, this place is BAD. I’m not sure if all Bennigans Restaurants are bad since it’s been so long since I’ve eaten at one, but this one sure is. Maybe it was a room service issue since I was staying at the hotel that is attached to it for work. But I don’t think so. The hotel was fine.
Let’s just say that they not only messed up my order, but I could barely chew my sandwich. My dressing was this weird see-​through color. Even my diet coke was flat. Bad. I’ll say it again. Bad.
