Food is great if Dudley is cooking. Will walk back out if he’s not there. This visit I would rate as 2 stars. With Dudley, it’s a 4.

I love this place, friendly staff. Always delicious, have not has anything I didn’t like. The carribean chicken and shrimp are my favorites. Try it, you won’t regret it. My only suggestion, add mofongo to the menu please!!!

Expensive & tasteless! We went to Korner Grill because it has such great reviews here on Unilocal, but after our visit we now suspect several of the reviews must be fake. Not only was the food a lot more expensive than the advertised $, but the food was overcooked & flavorless. We all received complimentary chicken noodle soup as starters, then the boys had the Chicken Fingers and Pasta from the children’s menu, as well as the Mac & Cheese. The pasta was so overcooked it was more like a gooey soup, completely tasteless, and the chicken fingers were hard as rocks. There was nothing else on the plate. We watched the chef prepare the Max & Cheese from a Kraft package, and it was as expected(which, in this case, actually was a good thing). The children’s dishes were pricey too, several $ more than at any other restaurant. My husband & I had the tempura starter with deep fried pickles, shrimp and mushrooms, below standard, served with just a bowl of soy sauce. My husband had the house salad, which was just lettuce, with one tomato and some cucumber, served with Parmesan cheese from a Kraft shaker. I ordered the spicy shrimp, which indeed was spicy and yet tasteless. I don’t even know how that is possible. The plantain was dry and not even really hot. I cannot recommend this place to anyone.

This did not live up to all the other reviews although the food was tasty. Enjoyed the Caribbean music through our too-long wait. There was one large party that must have held up our order but there were not other diners waiting. I’m glad I was not hungry. I had the chicken with mango appetizer which was sweet but not overpoweringly so. DH had the Caribbean chicken breast which he declared was nicely spiced. Side of beans also had a pleasant kick. Plantain not as good as I make at home– sort of dry. But it was worth the visit.

I went to this place based on reviews here at Unilocal and I was glad I did. Never tasted anything like it. ‘Italian with Carribean flair’ now that’s something that will make you go hmmm?!. I had the ‘Paella’ which was highly recommended by my waiter. Prior to getting my dish, the chef came over and served me their special ‘house soup’ which at first reminded me of Campbell noodle soup, but don’t let the looks fool you. After a few spoon you’ll want to have more. The soup also had a little kick– spice– to it which made it more awesome. When I I finally got my dish it looked as if they concocted something with all they had in kitchen and put them in one dish. It had shrimp, sausage, fish, clams, beef, and fried chicken wings. At first bite I can already tell it’s an awesome dish. I devoured the whole plate! Definitely A place I would recommend to a foodie or to anyone who wants to try something other than a chain restaurant.

I did not think this place was worthy of 5 stars. Sure, it was tasty, but my Caribbean chicken was much more chewy than it should have been. My serving of plantain was very tiny and was not seasoned. Perhaps I would have liked some other menu items better.

Best place I’ve eaten in Warsaw. I never write Unilocal reviews. Had to make an exception for this amazing place. Very friendly environment.

If you are looking for something out of the ordinary, this is your place, a unique fusion of foods from various cultures. A true foodies delight. Have eaten here several times trying new menu items each time… always superb.

In town for business and didn’t want to eat at another mediocre, chain restaurant. Korner Grill is the anti-chain, where you feel as if you’ve been invited to someone’s house for home-cooking. I had a grouper sandwich that was very tasty, grilled just right(fish and bread). Looking forward to going back in a couple weeks.

A true hidden gem in downtown Warsaw!!! We found a coupon for the Korner Grill on Super Saving Socials web site & thought we would give it a try… OMG!!! Outstanding from the soup, than the appetizer, & than the Panilli(spelled wrong but close) put us over the top. A true culinary experience, you will not be disappointed!!!

The owner was there when we arrived. He came over with a cup of soup for each of us. After talking to him we soon found out that he is a true American inspirational enterprise! He runs his business with his customers in mind! The food was amazing! He explained each entrée to us and made recommendations. We will definitely go back next time we are in town!

Exactly the type of place we love to find! Excellent authentic handmade fresh food and friendly owners. The previous reviews got our attention, and we have to admit, the one about having a friend slap you is pretty much right on. Looking forward to bringing some friends from South America here in the near future.

Great place to eat! Food was fabulous & the service was very warm & hospital. I took my adult children there for a night out & they loved it! Best kept secret in Warsaw! Will be back soon!

This is a follow up review to confirm my previous top rating. Second time here in a week and a half. Yes I like it! I took some photos this time. I had the Drunken Chicken special {they had 5 specials today} and it was around $ 7.50 and came with rice, plantains, and red beans. Very good. My wife had the Cuban Skewers which is a menu item. It also came with plantains, rice and beans. She thought it was excellent. As always, a small complimentary cup of soup to start your meal. My first review said about 5 tables in the restaurant, but closer to 7. I will go back again and continue to explore the menu. My only comment for improvement, is the side dish of beans could be warmer. It was served luke warm and I would prefer steaming hot, but I still give it a 5. Next time I might ask if they could make sure they were hot. So far 3 or the 4 entrees we have had here had sweet sauces… which were excellent. In my future dining experiences here we will find out if there is more variety in the sauces.

This place is Good. The music they play is from a far away land — totally unfamiliar to a random visitor like me. I cannot understand a word of the song, yet it has something happy about it. It does make you feel happy, specially when the smiling owner comes and offers you a free soup while you wait for your dinner/lunch. A restaurant has 3 key ingredient to it — the ambiance, the food, the waiter(owner in this case). This restaurant exceeds expectations in all three dimensions. But — like all truly good things this restaurant is somehow hard to spot even though its right in front of you. It is at the heart of a really small city(Warsaw, IN) at one of its busiest intersections. Yet it manages to tuck itself away from all the fancy restaurants(Mad Anthony and the Greek pizzeria restaurant) surrounding it. They don’t have fancy websites with ‘online menu’ and ‘online reservation’, but they do have smiling ‘offline’ real people who make real good food. You may not find their menu very appealing — without fancy stills of the food. But the real food will be real good. If you want to time travel to the past and to an entirely different land while you have your dinner, then this is where you should have dinner tonight!

The food here is amazing. I have been four times and have never been disappointed. If you like flavorful, fresh, made from scratch, this is your place. The fish, chicken, sandwiches, all phenomenal. If you live in or near Warsaw, go now. If you live further out, plan a visit and make sure this is on your stop.

I was very surprised by this ugly little restaurant. I stopped in for lunch and as soon as I sat down a complimentary cup of soup was brought out, and it was amazing. The menu is very interesting with sandwiches, Italian, and Caribbean selections. I also got a free sample of blueberry mango bread pudding. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of food. One weird thing, no Saturday hours. This is def a new favorite place in Warsaw to eat

This place has incredible food, great service and super nice people. What more could you ask for! The skewers are excellent, as are the ribs! I also loved the Caribbean chicken and the platanos fritos. ¡Que rico! It’s a kinda small place, but don’t let that fool you. This place has delicious food.

My kind of place! I came once after opening doors and I had the fish tilapia and was amazing. I came again to see if it was just begginer’s luck and got amazed with a tender chicken Piccata just as I had it years ago from italian cooks. I must say this place is a real surprise in a corner in Warsaw. This city was missing exactly that: Gourmet food at a small place. Don’t even think about prices, just enjoy the food… it’s the only way to go! Can’t wait until they get wine on the menu so I can enjoy it with their food. Cheers!
