I’m so excited to hear that they are opening a second location. I believe it is in the same plaza as the Oakland Beach Carousel Workshop. Woot-woot. BTW, the reason I love these places: I found a glass light shade for my neighbor to match the light fixture in her kitchen. She’d checked Lowes & Home Depot to no avail.

Heaps of stuff There are lots of thrift and consignment types of stores around RI. I guess people really love getting a bargain and recycling stuff rather than just chucking it out. Treasure Chest Consignment is a relatively new place but has certainly filled the small store. All kinds of stuff inside and it frequently flows out onto the sidewalk in front of the place. A sundry collection of things, just about everything imaginable is found inside, some of it ordinary, some artistic and other stuff just weird and odd. Makes for an interesting browsing experience. The prices were surprising low on many items and you can pick up furniture, tools, clothing, toys, jewelry, books and sporting stuff and pay less than you would at many yard or garage sales. Like most stores of this nature you won’t always be able to find a particular item you are looking for but if you come back the next day or week it just might be there. The owner is very friendly and lets you browse and ask questions. My wife loves consignment and thrift stores and Treasure Chest Consignments has quickly become one of her very favorites.
