Who knew you could be a fan of a place that sharpens knifes.
Well we had a drawer full of knifes that were in various stages of dullness. This time in stead of indulging the wife and going and buying all new knifes, I decided to sharpen. At first, it did not look promising. It was hard to find things here in RI, then it was $ 10.00 per knife with a one to two week wait. You get the picture. I was about to be off buying new knifes.
Then I found the number to American Sharpening Service. The wife took charge of the call. Surprise, one day turnaround, price from $ 2 — $ 3 per knife. The place is a little difficult to find, meaning you have to kind of look for it. The gentlemen was really nice and won my wife over. The knifes are sharper then when we got them, so he won me over.
All I can say is cheaper than a new knife. He also sharpens all sorts of other things and machinery. So give him a call. Support the local economy and don’t send the cash to China. Besides, isn’t that knife all broken in now. Comfortable in your hand? Fix it then.
