We are expecting and attending lots of baby showers these days! Lots of excitement! So we hit Baby’s R Us to shop for someone’s shower and couldn’t wait to get in the door because we could peek around for ourselves too. There were next to no employees around the aisles and we couldn’t find anyone to help us locate a registry item for 15 minutes. However, when we did the employee was very helpful and didn’t make us feel like we were bothering him, even though he had arms fill of formula. They were all just running around and really unapproachable. My least favorite part of our trip was the bathroom! It was absolutely disgusting! It had stuff all over the walls dripping down, floors looked like they hadn’t been mopped in ages and just dirt and grime everywhere. There’s no way that bathroom is cleaned… ever…

I never thought I’d give such a great review, but here I am. Every single person I came in contact with was amazing — every single one. From the lady at the registry desk, to the girl at the service counter, to the sweet and attentive young man who ran around the store with me to help me find all the items I needed from my registry. The cashier offered me a credit card, which gave me a huge savings, offered to combine all my gifts cards onto one for convenience, and even went above and beyond to find a particular item I was looking for. I can’t complain at all about this visit — totally worth stopping in!

I’ll admit: I was scared. Petrified, even. I was so scared and petrified, I managed to stay away from any Babies R Us for the duration of my pregnancy and for two and a half months into new motherhood. That’s pretty good, right? Right. Well, turns out I had nothing to be scared of. Yes, I still prefer the locally-owned stores where you can interact with the owner and they care for you like family, but when it comes to things like swings, Bumbos, diapers and bath products, I can see why Babies R Us is a necessity. The store is HUGE, so come prepared with a list and give yourself ample time to process the enormity of it all and the array of items. You go in thinking you want a very specific thing, but little do you know there are at least a dozen versions of that single item. Do yourself a favor: don’t rush. I mad the rookie mistake of brining my 10-week old with me. She was pretty good, but we needed to make a few trips to the ‘Mommy’s Lounge’ to take care of some diapers. I am happy they have such a room, complete with two changing tables, a sofa and a chair along with a dirty diaper receptacle, but the room reeked of baby poo and wasn’t exactly a welcoming, cozy place. There were also very few people to help me. I wasn’t greeted and never once ran into an employee in the aisles to ask a question to. The only interaction I had was with the clerk who was friendly, but not there to assist or answer questions. So, I get why Babie R Us is essential, but I can also go without it for long periods of time. I’ll stick to my mom-and-pop shops for the most part, but day-um, I was impressed by the selection, the stock and the scope.

I used to LOVE shopping at Babies R’ Us for my friends when they were expecting(when I lived in MA). When I was expecting I was excited about registering turn… Yippee! Sadly, I was disappointed by the lack of customer service. I decided that I would buy myself the high priced items(Crib, Pack and Play, Rocker/ottoman, 2nd car seat) When my(very expensive and over priced) Chair and ottoman came in I was shocked how a lazy boy looking chair and ottoman would fit into such a tiny box but we were reassured it contained both, loaded it in the car and drove home — NO ottoman! Got a hassle when we called the store, had to bring back our receipt and prove we ordered it!!! Then had to wait again . Every time I go to Babies r Us, there are long lines at the one or two registers they open – meanwhile you see staff goofing off in the aisles. Bathrooms are DISGUSTING. I have written to corporate 3x… nothing seems to change. Thank goodness, there is a Target, Bellini and other boutiques I can go to for what I need now that our child is here!

The baby store galore… They just have everything you could dream of. I never realized just how expensive things could get. Reality check!

We love this place. At least for the next couple of years we dont have a choice but to love this place. But over priced. they know they have you and there is nothing you can do about it. lets face you need a baby car seat best selection comes from Babie R Us and they know it. so you do. luckily service is usually pretty good. and they usually have what you need. and if you can score there 20% off coupons then you might be able to save a buck

Rose was our sales clerk and she was extremely helpful. She guided us through our first time registry and provided a plethora of information. They also offer a complimentary maternity picture for me and my husband. It is a professional photographer and there are several package choices.
