The quesadilla with blackened chicken is spicy! Whoo! If you’re into IPAs, I recommend the following: — Heavy Seas Loose Cannon(my favorite) — Uinta Hop Nosh Overall, this isn’t my favorite Ale House. The place looks a bit run down from the outside and needs a more lively atmosphere inside. However, it is a decent place and is worth trying.

I posted a review here a few years ago when it opened in 2013, and I must say after giving this place another chance, they really had resolve all their initial issues! All the food we have tried is good, Extensive beer menu, Good atmosphere. Prices are a little bit higher than similar bars in the area but worth it!

Great place to kick back and watch the Red Sox. Awesome burgers! And plenty of beer to choose from! Went two nights in a row!

Stopped by earlier today for their brunch buffet and was pleasantly surprised by how amazing the food was. A nice selection of breakfast items from scramble eggs, homemade Belgium waffles to an omelet bar! I left there stuffed and happy! Don’t forget to try one of their brunch cocktails. The mimosas were delicious!

I’ve hit up the East Ave location many times, but I like how this one still has an amazing beer and good food selection but is a bit different experience from the other one. Here, Sunday has a brunch buffet with pretty much the foods you would expect. The carving station and pancake/Belgian waffle station had me super excited! The food is delicious! I loved their take on the Bloody Mary, maybe better then my old number one fav over at East Avenue. Th candied bacon was a huge topic of discussion during our visit. It was ridiculously good, and they make it there!

Went here for my girlfriends birthday to try it out and wasn’t disappointed. It was a weekday and a little later in the evening, so not very busy. The place was clean and a mix between a sports pub and restaurant. The argument could be made both ways. The food was excellent. I went with the fish and chips for the entrée and it was a good portion of fish that was fried well without being soaked in oil as can be typical in many places. If you like beer then clearly this is the place to try out. There are dozens on tap in a variety of styles and a fusion section with some really cool mixed combinations. Something for everyone. The service was good. Steve, great name ;) was not only attentive, but knew the menu well enough to offer suggestions. That’s always a plus. I wouldn’t definitely come back and try some other items on the menu as well as maybe some new beers.

What a great spot in what seems to be a strange location. We pulled up and wasn’t quite sure where to park — but found parking behind the place. The restaurant itself is huge, great setup. Huge bar and over 100 beers on tap! It’s crazy! Our server, Steve was awesome — very friendly and knowledgeable. Made great suggestions for beer selections. We started with the Chicken Quesadilla — came with salsa, sour cream and guac. It was really yummy! Gobbled it so fast, you’d think Thanksgiving was calling. I ended up with the Pasta Harissa and my bf went with the fish and chips. I really liked my dish — had a little kick to it, half for dinner, half for lunch the next day. The fish was really the star in my opinion — flaky, crispy and not greasy at all! The place seemed a bit empty considering its size and the fact that it’s nestled in between 2 hotels couldn’t explain the lack of customers. We will def be back!

The only reason I give this place a 4 instead of a 5 is because I haven’t eaten anything besides their breakfast/brunch. Let me tell you, I don’t EVENLIKEBREAKFAST food and I thought it was good! I highly recommend Dougherty’s for a number of reasons. It’s CLEAN. It’s not super dark and gross. There is a good amount of seating. There are about 100 beers on tap. I’m not sure how many there are exactly, but it’s a LOT. The portions are plentiful. The recipes are unique and have fun spins to them. If you do the Sunday Buffet, come hungry! We’re talking omlets, cheesecake, hash, salad, french toast, fruit, waffles, home made whipped cream, roast meats, and MORE! We used groupon and were quite satisfied. They have really nice TVs in the bar too.

Only went for the Sunday brunch. They get a lot of groupon users and they have you pay another $ 5 in sales tax. Never seen that before. The prime rib hash was great and I wish I got more. I only went up once because the lines were soooo bad. It only takes 1 or 2 slow people to create a log jam for everyone. The waiter was pretty bad. He knocked the bacon off the bloody mary he was serving to the woman next to me. Instead of getting a new piece, he picked it up off the dirty counter top and plunked it in her drink. I found that gross and she did too. She should have asked for a new one but she switched it with her husbands haha. All in all $ 40 for two(with tax and a bad tip) wasn’t a very good deal. The waiter told everyone«aaaand you saved $ 56» when he dropped off any of the groupon checks so people would think to tip more. No one saved $ 56. We all paid $ 29 instead of $ 56. He wasn’t that bad for us but we had to track down our own silverware and all he really did was drop off our bloody Mary’s and the check after that. Gave him $ 6 which is kinda low but he really didn’t do enough to earn $ 10 even if he bussed our table. Overall, it was ok but I wouldn’t go back even with the deal. They need to manage the lines a little better and step it up with most of the food. Lot of variety though.

We went for the Sunday brunch buffet($ 20 per person). The food was good, but not fantastic. The service was awful. To be fair we had a large party. However, we all got the buffet so all the server needed to do was bring drinks and clear plates. We had to ask many times if we wanted either of those things to happen. While we couldn’t get anyone to clear our plates and bring water or coffee, the buffet ran out of plates. The place did not seem prepared for a brunch crowd, which surprised me given that they feature a brunch buffet.(They also knew our party was coming ahead of time.) finally, our server also couldn’t figure out who ordered what, so it took her 45 minutes to figure out who ordered what so she could print out checks and give them to us. They also have Bloody Marys and mimosas for $ 9. They’re tall, but mostly filled with ice and very weak. The price used to be $ 6, definitely not worth $ 9 to me. The Bloody Marys tasted a little strange. I’d go back and give it a try if I found myself in the area and hungry. It could have just been that day or maybe they never have had a group before. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go back, though.

Awesome place. There’s a wide selection of brews and booze. They update their menu almost daily. The food is pretty good too. We had nachos with beer cheese which was quite a surprise. I had the crab cake sandwhich which was tasty. I love the ketchup because it has some sort of seasoning that makes it unique. Doherty’s has a great atmosphere; it feels homey and relaxed. There’s a fireplace in one of the sections. When you don’t feel like driving into Providence, this is the place to go; there’s plenty of parking available unlike most providence bars.

I thought this place was terrific! They’ve got a beer list as long as a novella and the menu seemed very varied enough to warrant multiple return trips. In fact, I came here with one group of friends for lunch, and I was impressed enough to want to return the same week with another group! The beer list is printed daily, so I’m assuming the offerings change with some frequency. For food, I ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich($ 10) which was very filling and delicious. Our server was attentive and friendly, although it was a weekday lunch, so there weren’t a ton of guests to compete for his attention. As I said, I am eager to return. After my visit here, I am eagerly anticipating the opening of the Doherty’s on Tiogue Avenue in Coventry.

I’ve been to Dohertys before for drinks and appetizers after work. They have pretty good bar food, and an extensive selection of beers, they pretty much have something for everyone! This review is based on their brunch experience. I purchased a Groupon which included two brunch buffets and two alcoholic beverages(Bloody Mary or Mimosa) for $ 29. It wasn’t that busy when we arrived and we were advised that the brunch gig is quite new, a month and half to be exact. We were greeted by a very friendly server by the name of Ben. When he brought over the Bloody Mary’s we decided on, I was pleasantly surprised by the size and presentation. It came in a large mason jar with pickled vegetables, a spiced rum and pickled bacon submerged in the drink. It was very tasty and I’ve never had one so large. The buffet itself was great. There wasn’t a huge selection of fruits but there were plenty of sweets and pastries. There was also scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, corned beef hash, prime rib hash, eggs Benedict with both hashes, French toast and sausage pancake bites! There was also a Belgian waffle station and omelette station. Overall the food was definitely tasty. I would say this is a better brunch spot for meat eaters since there were so many meat options. I would be back and I’m sure it will be busier each time as word starts to get out.

Ehhhhhhh I’ll stick to East Ave, despite the parking here being more abundant… even if it’s across the street. Here’s why: The food. This location appears to be the ‘golden child’ of this local chain. Beautiful tabletops(but expect to sit at a high table, which is a pet peeve.) Great beer selection, as I would expect from Doherty’s. The food though, it’s obvious they’re showing off their culinary skills. The menu is not very similar at all to East Ave, and is much more fancy. I want mustard with my pretzels, darn it, not some fancy Guinness infused stuff. Am I overpaying because of that mustard? I’ll stick to East Avenue, thank you very much.

We went here the other night for dinner and sat at the bar. There are sooooo many beers on tap, which is awesome! Although, I wish I would’ve known they did flights before I ordered my beer. The food was mediocre at best and over priced for the quality. I would come back for a beer! The bartenders were very helpful and answered all of our questions.

Great vibe & atmosphere Great music & sound system location right off i-95 friendly, nice, helpful, efficient, staff local patrons flat screen tv’s huge stone fireplace 123 varied, huge selection of beers on tap fabulous varied menu offerings I had a Trippel Belgian which was strong 8.4% but very good. I also tried the Smittynose Porter which was great but more of an Autumn beer IMHO Bc of the robust flavor. I settled on the MA/VT Microbrew Collaboration Pilsner which had a really nice floral bouquet. I ordered the Banh Mi & I did not see that they put the Japanese White sauce on the sandwich. MYBAD. I love the traditional Banh Mi. It’s a French & Vietnamese Culinary Masterpiece IMHO. So I would highly encourage them to omit that or maybe put on the side Bc it was FABULOUS. But hey, that my .02& it’s not my Kitchen. My Server was Fabulous too. She did an outstanding job. Brian, the Mgr stopped by & made a really genuine & personal effort to check on my food & drink. That’s always hugely impressive. Overall, this place is really a GREAT find. WELLDONE. HIGHLYRECOMMENDED :)

Comfy seats and cool beer glasses. My food was meh but my bf enjoyed his burger(but I guess you can’t really mess up a burger) Waitress was a little clueless about the beer menu and totally confused us. Not to mention a little rude. Overpriced.

I know some don’t like it here others do, well I’m one that does. Love this place and the selection of craft beers on hand. So many options and always being rotated so never gets boring. The inside is way different then the way in providence and more flowing and way more seating. Staff is just as friendly and polite and will answer any questions you have and point you in a good direction on something to try. It’s clean and well lit and that includes the bathrooms. The draft set up is the same as the other places but still is impressive to see. Overall you have to try it at least once and something tells me you will enjoy it and come back. Heck is you don’t I will but you a drink lol

I have been here for brunch a few times and dinner a few times. I will say above all, the beer selection is fantastic and for that reason I am certain I will return for drinks. I think it is weird that the name is the same as the Dohertys in Pawtucket, but the menu is so completely different(for vegetarians/vegans anyways). The first time I came for brunch they did have the tempeh sausage, but not the vegan french toast, benedict, etc. On my latest visit, I found they have totally removed the tempeh sausage. There were a small handful of vegetarian items, but no vegan options. The server was helpful in suggesting something that would work for my needs and I ended up with a sandwich with a bunch of vegetables on it. Not what I had in mind for brunch, but still satisfying. I did get nervous while I was waiting for my food because I was in earshot of the servers station and I heard somebody(not my server) loudly say something that involved the words…“vegan?!” and«this is Warwick!» That was super rude and not very welcoming or professional. I was not being outrageous or demanding, I just asked for my sandwich with no cheese or butter. Bottom line, if you are expecting something like the other Doherty’s, this is not even close. The food was probably worth 3 stars, the drinks 4, and my particular server was awesome, but the rude comments I overheard from the back brought my rating down.

That’s do Doherty’s. That’ll do. While I appreciate there being several places with copious amounts of taps in various locations to meet up with my friends in different ‘hoods, for some reason this just doesn’t seem to hold a candle to East Ave. One thing here(and I’m allowed to complain, its in the suburbs), the parking here forces you to fight with some hotels, and on the weekends you’re again fighting with people from the hotels for a table or a seat at the bar. This is undoubtedly the nicest interior of the 4 of the 5 sibling establishmentss I’ve been too(East Ave, Doherty, Miller’s Crossing, Shannon View Inn). Sleek dark woods, and dark stone top tables in the bar area(which is the only place I have sat). Like East Ave, it does get loud in here. I was hoping for some of E. Ave’s delightful veggie options, but lo and behold, there’s 2 lone sandwiches for those looking for lacto-ovo eats. A brussel sprouts sandwich, and the Mona Lisa, which I went with.(Below is a picture of the yummy, but super messy item). They do make their own ketchup!!! But, then they give you a predefined portion of it. Beer is plentiful here, I think the selection is pretty much nose to nose between here and East Ave. The waitress did deliver me the wrong beer the first time, but it ended up being something I liked more than what I had actually ordered.
