I am a newbie when it comes to scuba. I just completed my certification at Giant Stride in preparation for some diving in Thailand. Everyone I encountered at the shop was knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. It’s readily apparent that Red (owner) and John (Dive instructor) have been diving for probably longer than they’d care to have me mention ;-) They know the equipment inside and out and do many repairs on site. The dive instruction was top notch. John did a great job conveying the concepts a diver should understand, the use of the equipment and still managed to keep it fun!

I found Giant Stride while I was in the area for work, and needed to get my regulator serviced. To my surprise, they offered me same-​day service! Being an instructor from Hawaii, I had never seen a shop with that kind of turnaround.
Unfortunately my regulator had a crack, and I intended to dive before they could get a replacement in. The staff were extremely knowledgeable and helpful as I debated which I would purchase as a replacement.
While I ended up not able to dive with them on this trip, I know who I’m coming back to whenever I’m in Rhode Island again!

Simply the best dive shop in Rhode Island. Service and selection is without rival. The owner is careful to ask you questions about your needs and provide advice or suggestions based on your true needs and not what he needs to move off the shelves.
