Not good. Don’t order the pasta. The salad was good though. I would skip this place and keep looking.

I know I’m not at the capital grille but there’s some expectation to service no matter where I go. I took my grandparents out to lunch. Worst experience ever! Our waitress seemed more concerned with going to talk to tables that she knew about personal matter. Tables around us were served and left before we got out food. I asked for pickles which was brought to the table and just dropped off when she was walking by — no plates! Had to wait for a second glass of water. Not great services and okay food. Needless to say I won’t be returning especially when there are so many other great, local places to spend my money.

I called may 23rd and ordered my husband’s birthday cake. Strawberry cheesecake, I told them I’d be in the following day around 2:30 to pick up. I went and had lunch which was great, I informed the counter that I was there and I would be eatting then getting the cake. At first they tried to give me a lemon burst cake, I had to correct them, I repeated my order strawberry cheesecake. Well the manager and counter girl miss heard me, probabaly because they were talking over me trying to explain why they first tried to give me a lemon cake. Well I didn’t check the cake the second time I finished my errands and brought it home. I took it out of the fridge around 8pm to have cake with our family and to all of our surprise it was a strawberry short cake. Needless to say I was very upset, especially since they tried to give me the wrong cake once already. So now my husband is disappointed on his day. I try to make each of his birthdays as special as possible bc of what a wonderful man I have, and thanks to the incompetence a special part of his day was ruined. I called immediately to talk to the manager. She said she heard me say strawberry shortcake and she would pass the message to her general manager and they would be in contact with me. Well here we are June 1st and still no call. I will not be ordering any more birthday cakes from this establishment, nor will I be dining there. I’ve been getting cakes from the greggs in nk for years, and they have rarely made a mistake. The one time they did, the corrected it immediately. No nonsense. The manager at the warwick store clearly has no care for customer service at all.

Ordered salid with turkey. Turkey was not as moist as it usually was and had very little taste. The hamburger tasted bad. The water was undrinkable– tasted like chlorine in water. The strawberry shortcake was 7. 50 — but was a large piece and very good. I did ask for more turkey as size was small and they brought it with no extra charge. The pickles and rolls were good. No value for the money and taste is lacking on certain items. Will go to another restaurant next time .The average price there is 12.00– high!

We had a wonderful early dinner at gregg’s tonight. To start the house pickles were awesome. Not too briney or salty. Our waitress, Alex, was absolutely delightful. Dinners were all great and she helped us surprise out kiddo with an enormous cupcake and he wait staff singing happy birthday. We couldn’t not have been happier. Everything was delicious! Thanks.

Ordering a Dantes Chicken sandwich and a Bacon cheese shroom burger, with togo deserts. Our first experience was delightful and there will be many more trips this summer. We split the desserts my girlfriend loved the deserts especially the toffee nut crunch cake.

We stopped here on our way to the airport. I ordered the grilled chicken with mashed potatoes. It was just okay. I had to add a lot of salt and pepper for there to be any flavor in the chicken. It was cooked correctly and wasn’t dry but it was BLAND. The service was pretty good but the food wasn’t memorable at all.

I love Gregg’s. The food is always good. They have delicious entrees and you can’t beat the desserts. My favorite item thou is the pickles. The wait staff is the best there is Ann is our favorite, she treats you like a friend. Tyler such a gentleman and always has a smile for you, and Nate is just a sweetheart.

I’d say this is a good family restaurant, the several locations throughout the state. Pretty good selection based on what you’re in the mood for. The chicken palm sandwich is good, steak or chicken or even a pasta dishis always good here.

Really thought this was going to be good down home food, but sadly it was like hospital food. Literally not a pinch of salt on anything. I had grilled chicken, broccoli, a salad, and a cup of chicken noodle soup. It was so bland you would think I was on a high blood pressure diet. The restaurant was busy and I honestly couldn’t understand why, but the service was really friendly so I’m sure that has something to do with it. If there was more spice and salt it would greatly improve my rating.

I visited Gregg’s with some friends who dine there semi-frequently. There was a bit of a wait for a table, but we expected that, as it was 6ish. What put me off was that we waited by the hostess table for about 20 minutes without even being acknowledged. That was weird. The décor was a little dated but I thought it was clean and comfortable. It is certainly a family restaurant. Considering the large portions, I thought that the prices were great.(9 – 16, depending on what you’d order.) we were super impressed with the Monday/Tuesday package deal: for $ 2.99, you can get any soda/house wine/coffee, etc. and a huge slice of cake! Soda alone is $ 2.60, and cake starts at $ 6. What a deal! I had the steak tips Caesar salad($ 14) and loved it– the steak was seasoned perfectly and cooked just right. I am typically not impressed with food from restaurants with such expansive menus, but all of our meals were great. The pickles to start were a fun touch, and the rolls were nice and hot. Oh, and cake. You just have to get a slice!

I have been going here for years and as most people know their deserts are amazing. The food is good, but is outshines by the deserts. The staff is always friendly and attentive. You can’t go wrong going here for a meal.

Atmosphere at Warwick location is a little dated, I can’t speak for other locations. I’m hoping they do well with the expansion of adding a bar. Service has been hit or miss, but food is good. Kind of reminds me of Howard Johnson’s in the 90’s, I’ll still go on occasion but won’t go out of my way

Just had dessert here, but man was it killer good. Lemon Meringue pie was out of this world good. Great portion size, taste, and price. Plus they had Del’s pink lemonade in a bottle. Awesome! The group I was with had food and their portions were also very generous and moderately priced. Kudos!

My husband is down in the area for work, and I came down to visit him for a few days. We were looking for a nice place to enjoy some dinner, and found Gregg’s down the road from our hotel. We went in around 6pm, and they seemed very busy with a lot of regulars there. The staff was friendly and fast, and they offer a ton of comfort foods at really reasonable prices. We got our drinks, rolls and pickles first. My husband ordered the meatloaf and mashed potatoes, and I got a reuben. Everything was very good, but lacked in some salt(not a big deal) After dinner, they offered a special for their desserts for $ 2.99 for a dessert that is usually $ 5.99. We got the strawberry shortcake there, and got death by chocolate to go. The slices we got were HUGE and the cakes were super light and fluffy. We were both very full from dinner, but took down the giant slice of shortcake. If you want a nice place to eat with good prices and big portions, this is the place to go. We might be back next week.

Every time we go to Greggs we are blown away by the desserts. Our favorite was the cannoli cookie? I believe this was a seasonal special. Amazing. Food is always great, only downfall is it can get a bit pricey depending on what you order. Definitely worth it if you’re looking for a home style meal and dessert

I’ve always come here for desserts and probably always will, but tonight’s dining experience was awful enough to ensure that I will NEVER come for dinner again. You always get pickles and rolls at your table. I used to rave about the pickles, but they’re more like salty cucumbers now. With a strange aftertaste. Two of our four rolls smelled so weird I didn’t dare eat them. The two warmer ones were fine. My husband and I ordered drinks. After more than 5 minutes, they arrived. They were tasty enough but we couldn’t tell whose was whose. Then we ordered a salad. It took 22 minutes to come to the table.(My husband works at a restaurant so he times things like this sometimes.) Considering it was $ 12, I thought we could split it. But it was the size of a side salad with tomato slices decorating the rest of the plate. The chicken on it had clearly been frozen an hour before we ate it. Our waitress never apologized for the late food and never asked how the salad was. We asked for the check and desserts to go, and she waited until the desserts were ready to bring us the check! She was nice enough to the people a few tables down but seemed annoyed at us! The whole experience was slow and not worth the wait.

I have eaten at Greggs for a very long time. And I do not think I have a ever left this establishment unsatisfied. There food is spot on. Although I feel like the food is a little pricey for what you get, I still have no problem ordering a meal and never get upset with the price. But honestly, the dessert. The food, great… The dessert, unbelievable. I mostly go there for there chocolate layer cake. The cake has a great moist texture and a sprinkle of chocolate crisps on the nicely speed frosting. They also have the«death by chocolate» cake which is a little to much chocolate for me, but also delicious. But overall, great family restaurant and highly recommend it. ~jp

Stopped here with the grandkids for dinner on a Saturday night. The place was slammed, but we were seated pretty quickly. I ordered the turkey dinner(so did my granddaughter in kid size!). Dinner started with a salad nothing special, but fresh and good. Dinner came with mashed potatoes, butternut squash, slices of white turkey breast over a scoop of bread stuffing and a small side of cranberry sauce. Don’t you just love Thanksgiving in August? The stuffing looked awful so I took it off our plates, so I can’t even say if it tasted ok because I just couldn’t get past the color(grayish, ewwww). Everything else was great. Turkey was juicy, not dry at all. We both ate every bite. Grandson ordered his favorite, Mac & Cheese with a side of French fries. He was quite pleased with it as well. Oh, and they placed hot rolls and butter on the table as well. Our waitress was fine, no complaints about the service. Prices are quite affordable. My one regret is I was too full for dessert. This place has the best desserts, cheesecakes, regular cakes, pies, and Eclairs!!! Yummy! Maybe next time, I’ll start with dessert!
