Honey Dew Donuts

My go to Honey Dew when I lived in Rhode Island. We don’t have these in Florida and I’m not a fan of Dunkin Donuts. I love the Willow Tree chicken salad sandwiches with cheddar. I usually get a medium hot tea with milk and two sugars. It’s in a great location and it’s family owned.

This Honey Dew looks rundown but it has the best coffee selection of any location around and the service in the morning is top notch… friendly, funny, and you’re pretty much guaranteed to be called sweetie or hon, and a lot of mornings you really need that, you know?
Also — and I know this is blasphemy here in RI — but I prefer their coffee to Dunkin. There. I said it. I won’t be scared anymore.
Yes it looks dumpy, and yes you have to suffer the Apponaug circle cluster@$!# to get here, but I say it’s worth it.

Went there once. Went in to buy a dozen donuts. Regulars were taken care of before I was. Left there & went to the Warwick Ave store. I live close to this location but I’ll never visit here ever again.
Really wanted to support this location, but I just can’t.

LOVE my morning girls here. The perfect iced coffee all the time! Recently got a facelift. They know my coffee order everytime I go in.

Great service, delicious muffins, my caramel mocha latte was too sweet though. Free samples!

I really wish my review was different. When the line is long at the neighboring DD I often dart across the street to grab my coffee where there isn’t a line. There is a reason that there is never a line here. The coffee is always decent it is the staff that force me to give them only 2 stars. I felt like I was disturbing their conversation by going through the drive through. Yes I only ordered a coffee, but do you need to be so rude when I ask for a napkin. If you aren’t in a rush wait in line at least you will be greeted with a smile.

This coffee joint is located in the Bermuda Triangle known as the Apponaug Rotary.
Getting in here, not so bad. Getting out? You better be confident in your car’s get-​up-​and-​go. And then GO!
They have updated this location with awnings and such… but it still lacks the luster of the DnD across the way.
I drink my coffee black and this stuff is a little rough on me belly. The cinnamon sticks rock! Many a bribe has been made with the kids simply on the thought of getting one these pastry. Nothing more than some pie crust twisted with some sugar, cinammon and some sugar glaze… but they are always fresh. And they are huge. And if there are hot outta the oven? Oh, Nelly…
Donuts are eh…
Oddly…the bagels are pretty decent, too.
I am picky about my brew and I am not a sweets eater… but if you do like sweets, go for the sticks.

The workers were very friendly towards me and made me feel very welcomed as I mentioned to them that I just moved to this state today. My iced coffee tasted very good! The donut was average. Nothing to complain about at all. But in my opinion, a donut is a donut. I didn’t find it to be «dirty» as the other review said, but it didn’t appear super clean either.

This is an old dumpy looking Honey Dew. Not dirty but dumpy. Looks like just one too many coffees have been spilled on the floor to ever get it clean. It’s cramped, smells like exhaust flumes from the road and it has a parking lot from hell. Getting out of this place without getting crunched takes a bit of luck.
But the worse part if that is doesn’t have a bathroom. A donut and coffee place without a crapper is a travesty, and act against nature. They should not exist.
I was going to give this Honey Dew one or maybe two stars. But then the coffee is always fresh and good. And even though the selection of junk food is smaller than most other paces, really isn’t bad. And no one has been killed trying to getting out of the parking lot in a while.
Even though it is a dumpy place it does haves some great employees. The people that work there are always polite, funny and efficient. They do they best to make your stay pleasant and best of all get you out of this place as quickly as possible. That should be worth a star.
