Went to this place because of other Unilocal reviews and I am so glad I did. Bob and Tina are fantastic. I wont take my car anywhere else.

There aren’t many things more important, yet harder to find than a good, honest mechanic who you can trust, and does good, reliable work. Which makes me glad that Maher’s Automotive is so close. Bob and Tina will always give you straight answers, and are always upfront about everything. The pricing is more than fare and most importantly, the work is always stellar. If you’re waiting while your car or truck is being serviced, the lobby and waiting area is clean, comfortable and pleasant. I’d send my mom here(and I have).

Mechanics and doctors I remember the old days when I could take apart the carburetor on my dike bike, clean it and then put it back together again in a few minutes. Now when I take a peek under the hood of our Prius it’s like trying to figure out the space shuttle. I don’t even know what most of that stuff is for. Now you need special tools and special knowledge, neither of which I possess. Fortunately a friend recommended Mahers for our automotive needs. I now take both my truck and the Prius here and always have been more than satisfied. Sure the place isn’t much to look at but a garage should emphasize service and not aesthetics. They are always polite and efficient and gave an estimate before starting the work. The price has always seemed fair, the repairs were done quickly and the vehicles happy and contented after their brief hospitalization. Best of all the people there always took the time to patiently answer my stupid questions and tell me in detail what was done. Cars have progressed a lot in the last few decades and with the new technologies about to mature things are only going to get more complicated. In some ways I miss the simpler days when the average idiot could do many the repairs himself but then again my old cars didn’t get 50 miles to the gallon or have GPS. I have a friend who told me that the two of the most important people in life these days are a good mechanic and a good doctor. Sage wisdom for an increasing complication world.
