The short and long of it: Go to AAA for your glass replacement.
Safelite:
1. Did not show up for first appointment
2. Stated they could not find correct glass
3. Finally did show up, installed wrong glass and left glass shards in door frame so that it makes tinkling sounds every time the door is opened or closed
Waiting for them to install the correct glass.

Please choose another place to have fix your windshield. I have a Subaru Forester that came out of the factory with wiper warmers. The first time they replaced my windshield, the wiper warmers would not work, so they had to put another one in. Each time took 4 hrs. of my time. Windshields with wiper warmers have a visible coil in the glass. The second one didn’t have these coils. I commented on it, when I picked the car up, and the worker told me the coil didn’t have to be visible, and that it worked properly. My mistake was not asking him to show me if it worked. I am too trusting. Now, they say that it’s Subaru’s problem. Subaru’s people are the ones who told me that it’s the completely wrong windshield, but Safelite won’t honor it. Don’t go to Safelite!!!

Worst quality glass! I got the windshield of my 2011 camry replaced at their shop last week. I chose safelite because my insurance company suggested it as their preferred service provider. Being their preffered service provider I expected the best quality glass and same as factory replacement but it turned out to be nowhere close to it. First the view is distorted like viewing through prescription glasses and my vision is normal. My eyes hurt so bad just after 10 minutes of driving. Second, I can see the reflection of my dashboard on the windshield. Sometimes as strong as looking through a dressing mirror. Its like viewing through a viel of the grainy finish my dashboard has. This windshield is not safe for driving and for the health of my eyes. Third, they didnt even install the rearview mirror properly. It shakes like an earthquake. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone and my insurance company should stop listing them as their preffered service provider. I give them zero stars

Truck from a local landscape materials company was losing rocks all over the road and my windahield go clobbered. Grrr. Since they refused to take responsibility and RI insurance does not cover glass replacement I was on a mission to find a quick, cost effective replacement. Safelite met both those requirements.
I called for a quote, received a first time customer discount and they emailed me a copy of the quote. (My other quote said they would try to email a copy but never did, plus it was $ more.)
I received an email confirmation of my appt with a photo of the technician. He called 15 min before arrival and was early for my scheduled window. He was polite, answered all my questions and vacuumed the front seat of my car. The windshield is guaranteed as long as I own the car but there are a few ‘rough edges’ on the windshield; not sure how they got there. The techs are paid by the job-​not hourly or salary which may explain the less than stellar reviews.
Ultimately I wanted a windshield, without a crack, installed quickly, and that is what I got.

Although I was satisfied with the service I received last year, I am overwhelmingly disappointed in the quality of the windshield that was installed. According to the tech who looked at my windshield, there was impact, not a stress crack. The spot he indicated was about the size of a pen tip. The resulting crack went up and across my windshield. Now, it would seem that this minute piece of space dust or whatever it was that allegedly hit my windshield would not have caused this extreme damage if the windshield were high quality glass. So I’ll be taking my car to Altieri Glass. Hopefully the quality will be better. The PRICE certainly is.

My experience with Safelite was awesome. All the employees were very kind and courteous, the manager of the store went above and beyond to assist me and my car was ready way before I expected it to be. I shopped around with other companies before going to Safelite and almost went somewhere else because it was a little cheaper but I’m so glad I didn’t. You get what you pay for! I’m so glad I chose Safelite instead of some other company. They obviously have trained professionals who LOOK like professionals instead of some grungy guys in dirty jeans and backwards hats that you can’t identify as employees. The waiting area in the store was clean and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone needing a window replacement or repair.

Scheduled twice. First time they ordered the wrong windshield, second time they didn’t show up. No call or anything. Do yourself a favor and stay away from these morons.

I had to replace my windshield on my jeep wrangler. I called inquiring about service and how to go about putting it through my car insurance. They quickly connected me and within hours my new windshield was replaced. This was performed on July 3^rd too.

I had a great experience. The man that came out to replace my windshield was friendly and efficient.

My experience with Safelite has been a nightmare!
When the technician first came out he ended up cutting a big piece of the interior. Safelite quickly offered to repair the part and sent someone out a few days later. I thought this was very customer service oriented and was quite impressed at how they handled the situation.
However that was far from the end of the experience. A few days later it rained for the first time since the repair and water was leaking all around the window perimiter. My girlfriend called and they told her they could take a look at it next week. (One full rainy week of leaking all over the interior). I called on her behalf and somehow an opening tomorrow morning appeared.
We came in the next day and dropped the car off. A half hour later they call us and tell us they just realized that not only had the original technician cut a piece of the interior, but he actually cut into the frame itself (passenger A pillar)
If they had not done such a terrible job with weatherstripping my poor girlfriend could be driving around in a car with a damaged frame without ever knowing until set was in an accident. EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND UNPROFESSIONAL.
They acted like they were doing us some huge favor by renting us a car and sending the car to a bodyshop to get fixed (both were legal obligations, just trying not to get sued).
20 days later we find out the car is ready by getting a call from the rental place telling us Safelite won’t pay for any longer. Naturally we then called safelite and they told us it was ready.
To top it all off the manager Mike refused to give a discount on the service, despite the insane inconvenience.
This car was a Honda Civic, it’s not like it is something rare or unusual. I would seriously recommend you avoid this place like the plague.
JUST DON’T DO IT!!!

So I just posted on the FB wall. But just for here as well. Safelite AutoGlass –Warwick, RI. Even in the snowy weather I was still able to drive there and get my windshield replacement. I got an email confirmation and a call to remind me of my upcoming appointment. They also gave me the best deal by utilizing one of the promotions so I ended up saving over $ 50 dollars. Not only that but I spent 2 hours there and I even got job advice for my upcoming interview. 110% best staff. I was a store manager so I dont say that lightly. They deserve an award. I think. So whoever sees this– Bonus points for that staff. (ahem corporate team) Seamless process. Thank you!

I would like to follow up that customer service from satellite contacted me only to inform me that my damaged headlight was not their fault. Not only did they damage my head light but they refuse to even acknowledge the situation.
I would really suggest you look elsewhere for windshield replacement.

Went online, very simple process to schedule an appointment. Drove down, walked in, they immediately set to work on my car. 30 minutes in and out.

I went in to get a windshield replaced and after an hour and half it wasn’t replace it was repaired. They accidentally put my windshield in the wrong Honda. The gentleman behind the counter was extremely apologetic and they replaced it correctly. I spent 3 hours there but an apology went a long way because i would go back.

One of the unfortunate aspects of living in Providence is the fairly high probability that you will be the victim of property crime at some point. While violent crime is relatively low, even in the safest of neighborhoods I’ve had my car broken into.
Safelite is an auto glass repair business. They have a mobile unit that will come to you to fix your window, or you can drive down to their location. Sadly both my wife and I have had to use their services in the last month (my window got smashed when parked at a friends house, hers got smashed when parked at her office) and we were happy with the results.
We were unable to use their mobile service because it was raining and we do not have a covered area to work. It makes sense — the technician has to take your door apart to replace the window, and they don’t want to be liable for any water damage that occurs.
Safelite is located off of Jefferson Boulevard. It’s a little tricky to find but if your GPS wasn’t stolen you should be able to get there. The people I’ve dealt with are nice and professional. The work was done well as far as I can tell. The window they put in goes up and down, I’m not sure what else to look for.
The waiting room is a dreadfully boring space with a loud TV you can’t ignore and no wifi, but at least it’s large, clean, and modern. The guys were pretty quick when I brought my car in, so I think I was only stuck waiting for about an hour.

I have gone here on two separate occasions. The first was a result of me being an idiot, and cracking my windshield; the second was because *gasp* my car got broken in to, and the front passenger window needed to be replaced. In both cases, service was provided quickly and with the utmost quality. With the broken window in particular, they vacuumed the whole car — far beyond just cleaning the glass (which was in itself, unexpected). In both cases insurance took care of setting up the meeting, but I noticed their online system, which is quite impressive.

Ugh — I HATE the jingle («Safelite repair, Safelite replace!»)…but this place totally saved me!
I returned to my vehicle after my Friday workday to discover that a passing vehicle had kicked up a rock which cracked my windshield. Frantic — I called my insurance company who directed me to Safelite.
I made an appointment through my insurance company for THE NEXT DAY! On my way to THAT appointment, a truck on he highway kicked up (you guessed it) ANOTHER rock for ANOTHER chip! Safelite said «noooo problemo!» (In more graceful words, of course) and had my sweet ride up and running (crack-​free) in no time! Nice people, friendly and honest, fast service. If I’d had to pay (ie: didn’t have insurance) then I wouldn’t have minded… it was plain solid service!
