bought my car here, was a bit upset with my first few encounters with the service department. But since Bret Ferrucci took over as the lead smart service adviser, it has been exemplary. They even got my car inspected for me with out asking and at no charge. They completely stood behind a mistake made when they used the wrong wheel weights on my snow tires. re balanced them at no charge and refunded my initial 60 dollars.
I recently moved to the Seattle area (military) and went in to the Seattle smart center for some warranty work. The place looked like it was about the fold up and die and the service was poor at best. I would deal with the pretentious Mercedes owners for all time to get the good service of Brett and his team.

Love my Smart car, Richard made picking the car I liked easy. Bret in service makes it so easy to get oil change, and maintance. I would buy again here. Awesome

So, I’m stranded on RT 84 in MA and go out of my way to have my car towed to a SMART dealer. This sadly was Inskip’s Warwick.
After a day, they ring to tell me it will be $ 1200 for a fuel pump. This strikes me as quite high. So, I call the SMART dealership who does my regular service. They confirm this is indeed far out of line. In fact, the actual pump is 33% more expensive than my dealer would charge and the labor is $ 125/​hr which is high. When I call Inskip back to discuss they start to backpedal that it was 2 hours of diagnostic work and they will see what they can do to bring the cost of the parts down. After much back and forth no resolution could be reached so I tow my car to my dealer. Bottom line: I had my car towed AND fixed at another SMART dealership (with tax) for under $ 800.
Really am not sure why Inskip thinks they can get away with extortion. My advice: fight back and take your business elsewhere. I had the same repair done, at a dealership, for $ 400 less.
