A group of us went for the first time very first time relying on Unilocal reviews and curiosity and were not disappointed. The place appeared to be an eclectic assortment of rooms in a large older home. Having made reservation for Saturday lunch a friend and I were escorted to the back room as we awaited the rest of our party(I appreciated the fact we did not have to wait for the whole party to be seated.). At first, I was concern being seated so far away from other patrons but the server quickly allayed any misgivings. She was prompt, attentive and friendly even after we had requested individual checks from the start. The interior was quaint and unique and I felt we were miles away from the busy route 2 retail district. I’m sure the experience is only enhance in the spring and summer when the exterior landscape is in bloom. Concerning the food, everyone but one was delighted with their selection. I enjoyed the fresh roasted, not deli cut, turkey sandwich. A few others raved about the macaroni and cheese, another person devoured his steak sandwich, and two others greatly liked their lobster blt. The lone dissenter ordered a medium well hamburger which was cooked too well done. Unfortunately, she did not let the server know and only told our group after the meal. For that reason I would not take any stars from this rating. After the entrees most of the group did ordered desserts and were happy not only with the large selection of in house made desserts but their own selection. Everyone was also happy with their beverages choice which ranged from flavored coffees, flavored teas, and wine. The food freshness and portions were appreciate. In fact, everyone found the lunch so enjoyable we plan to return for breakfast. Because this post is very positive I just want to assure reader I do not know the owner, nor do I work at The tree House Tavern, lol.

My new favorite place!!! My mom and I loved dining outside in the garden and the food was so good we decided to have her 60th birthday here! They let us decorate and dance to their dj till late at night! We Love the fire pit and the green sparkles in the trees. This place has a great owner and management that know how to run a restaurant. We are so thankful to the owners for making my moms birthday an unforgettable night! The treehouse is awesome! Highly recommend everyone go check it out!

This could have been so much better if the chef/cooks had paid more attention to detail. Great ambiance, great menu, good service. But the execution was lacking. Three items: Pork nachos, Duck & Waffles, Rib eye. 1) Pork nachos — Looked delicious, tasted good, but the sweet potato bits were completely under cooked, making each bite confusing and not quite right. 2) Duck & Waffles — duck was cooked nicely, tasty accouterments, but the waffles were too dry, too savory, and didn’t come with maple syrup(or any syrup). 3) Rib-eye. Cooked to perfection, but the sauce was hidden underneath the meat and wasn’t discovered until ¾ of the way through the meal. We felt they tried really hard in so many ways to make a great restaurant, but there was too much inconsistency in the preparation. Not sure we’ll go back.

Not your average big brother’s poorly made treehouse, where no girls were allowed(oh, how I longed to climb up and enter this forbidden space). Anyway. The Tree House Tavern is one of its kind. We happened to pass by yesterday while en route to babies r us. I had heard about it before and had read reviews on Unilocal,so we decided to jus go with it! The décor is very creative and unlike anything you’ve seen around RI. It truly feels as if you’re 12 again and back at camp. It has rooms upon rooms with extra seating. These rooms feels like little hideouts. Just when you think you are done exploring, 2 rooms pop up in the back of the restaurant near the rest room. The food was delicious. We shared the buffalo chicken fritters, because any time there’s buffalo chicken something, we have to try it. These fritters were pretty amazing. My fiancée had the burgers with fries and I had the steak bomb with fries. Before talking about the sandwiches, I must say that these fries were a cut above the rest. They were perfectly crisped potato wedges. I feel as though potato wedges are usually dry and plain. These were the best we’ve had. They may have coated them with something delicious. My fiancé really liked his burger, but j refused to taste it because my steak bomb was enough to feed 3. The steak sandwich want not your typical steak and cheese. The meat is not shredded like most steak bombs, which was fine by me. The flavors of the aged cheddar cheese and red peppers paired nicely with the steak. Would love to see this place in the summertime. They have an outside space, which was obviously closed due to the winter.

Good but pricey! Beautiful inside. $ 17 for two mimosas and an average of $ 13 for a breakfast dish. Our waitress was so nice! The only thing I don’t like is the joint table seating. There’s a long high top table that seats about 8 total. We were a party of two, and they sat us there with a party of 4 down at the other end of the table(it’s not THAT long). I didn’t have a problem with is because I understood that the restaurant was full. However, another party of three came in after our first table neighbors left and they sat them at our long table again. When there were at least 4 – 5 tables open! I understand that it may be a good idea to save space and shorten the wait, but please warn customers the conditions of the table before sitting them there.

I’ve been once for breakfast and was not disappointed! I ordered breakfast burrito/enchilada and it was soooo delicious! This is definitely a breakfast place for a special occasion. It is on the pricer side and you shouldn’t show up in your PJ’s!

Loved this quaint, eclectic restaurant. The dining experience was just perfect. I ordered the sweet potato grilled pizza with goat cheese, prosciutto and balsamic glaze. It was right up there with the best pizzas I’ve ever had! Martinis were strong and yummy. The singer/guitarist walking around was also superb. Can’t wait to return. It’s not too often you find a restaurant of this caliber outside of Providence.

Been here a few times now and it’s time for a review. Love it. Love the idea of it. Love the vision. It’s homey, it’s neat, it’s romantic. The food is great. I’ve only been for breakfasts so far but the teas and hash(homemade) bring me back. It’s not pricey, actually surprisingly cheap. Don’t bring your kids(we have 6 and all but the infant have been kept away) it’s an adult hideout, my opinion. I can’t wait to hang out at the fire or get drinks or dinner. Take your honey here quiet relaxing eye and mouth tantalizing. The owner told me the story about the wood the bar is made of its repurposed slabs that have been laminated, so cool looking! Go check it out, I can’t tell you a reason not to.

Tree House Tavern keeps raising the bar in fine dining. Such amazing choices like buffalo chicken fritters, polenta poutine, BLT deviled eggs. The list goes on about the many options. I don’t care for seafood but even I was intrigued by the lobster bread pudding. The interior just draws people to it. Each room is its own dining room and a Victorian feel drives the personality of the restaurant. Most of all, the service is five star plus. I’ve had Gina and she is amazing. She remembers the regulars, she is fast, friendly, and accommodating. She is just a treasure. They made a special cocktail at my request and the crème brûlée martini was fantastic. I look forward to my next visit and you should too!

Outstanding hidden secret of RI. If you get a chance to check it out it’s a must. Especially during the summer with their fire pit outside. Also, try the lobster BLT. It’ll blow your mind.

We stopped in here for a drink and dessert one night and boy am I glad we did. It is so charming inside. There are several small rooms for dining and one set up for a group that looks like you are in grandma’s dining room! There are also several more romantic rooms, some with fireplace. On our first visit I had a chocolate martini which was dangerously tasty. We also shared a piece of chocolate cake that was decadent, rich and way too much to eat in one serving even for two of us! We stopped in again for dinner a couple of weeks later and I had a lovely dish that includes their butternut squash soup, their take on the Waldorf salad and a duck confit sandwich. All of them were lovely. The soup is thick and creamy. The salad was very tasty and the confit so amazing I could eat it all day! We hope to get back again soon and I highly recommend you do too. Great date spot!

I Love this place. I was not a fan when it was Fern’s and Flowers, but it has improved 100%. Atmosphere is darling, food delicious, staff attentive, and best of all reasonably priced. Cannot go wrong here

I absolutely loved this place. Food is very different and interesting. My husband and I ordered three apps to share for lunch and each one was more delicious than the last. The buffalo fritters were like a clam cake and buffalo chicken had a baby. So delicious and salty and thick. I had to ask for some extra bleu cheese which was no problem. We also had the bruschetta which was awesome and different. The pears on it were especially tasty. We ended with the pulled pork nachos. They were awesome but I would suggest you ask for some sour cream.(Can you tell I love me some dipping sauces??). We will definitely return here to try out some of the other creative dishes!

After spending the afternoon running errands, my friend and I decided to stop by. Best decision ever! We shared the mussels appetizers, both had the lobster blt, and shared the bailey’s flavored chocolate pudding for dessert. I also had a bourbon mojito and a pomegranate cran martini. They give you a basket of popcorn instead of bread to munch on and they’ll refill as many times as you want. It’s a cozy and warm spot(courtesy of the fire places throughout the tavern). I highly recommend the lobster blt. It had huge chunks of fresh lobster and the fries are thick and well seasoned. After two drinks I was feeling warm and happy so that bartender was talented! I love bourbon so I’m down to try cocktails made with it and I was not disappointed. Definitely someplace I want to come back to as it gets colder out here. It’s a warm refuge with hearty, delicious food and excellent drinks.

The one thing this restaurant gets right is ambiance. My wife was looking forward to going here for a while, and the décor and atmosphere is right up her alley. Everything else about this restaurant is rather average. I ordered the scallops and they were okay, nothing special at all. The prices were a little higher than they should be in my opinion. The waitress we had this night was also beyond awful which was in stark contrast to the server who was exceptionally helpful. I can overlook poor service when the food is worth returning for, but alas, The Treehouse Tavern is not one of those places.

It’s hard to give The Tree House Tavern a star rating without a good review to weigh the pros and cons. Overall I had an enjoyable experience trying it as I had been wanting to for quite some time but a few there are a few things that could have made the experience significantly better. Let’s start with the pros… first off the place is very cool looking. I really like the feel of the place as soon as I stepped in. A lot of thought was put in to try to create a peaceful, quaint, and unique atmosphere which I really dug. There’s a nice outside section which wasn’t being used when we were there but it was still early(about 4:30pm). The drink menu was extensive and they had a great selection of beers as well as cocktails. The staff were friendly and attentive. The cons… the food was so so. Had potential and there was some great dishes on the menu, but the couple of items we tasted were just average. To start off we had Mac and cheese with pulled pork. It was creamy enough but the smoke flavor and smell from the pulled pork was a bit too overwhelming for our tastes. This could have been phenomenal had they found a way to tone this smoke flavor down. Next I ordered the Asian bbq wings. I was excited for this as I hadn’t had wings with that flavor before. I unfortunately was let down and did not enjoy the flavor of these at all. In fact I didn’t finish the wings which for me is not normal. We also had a turkey sandwich which had a special name that I can no longer remember. This suffered due to the establishments lack of condiments. Now if the Tree House Tavern were to take the steps to address the food issues and really focus on producing some great foods, this place would be a total winner. Building and décor-wise, there is nothing like it in close proximity and I think this place could be a huge hit. I really hope it does because I would love to revisit if I knew the food was stellar!

Wow! Tree house Tavern, I cannot believe that it took me so long to experience all that you have to offer! The ambiance here is rustic with eclectic décor. There’s no shortage of beautiful, quirky, fun, and lively decorations/conversation pieces throughout their entire building. The grounds have beautiful gardens and landscaping — I can’t wait to come back during the day! The dining experience here has a very intimate feeling to it as if you’re in someone’s very large home. I was with a large party so we practically had an entire room to ourselves and so did other large parties. I’d highly recommend it for groups(but make reservations)! Every dish that was ordered(11), looked amazing! I had the lobster BLT and it was fantastic. At first I was a little unsure about the side salad because it had green beans on it, but they were so crisp and I was pleasantly surprised!(Maybe I’ll start putting green beans on my salads!) I can’t wait to go back for dinner again and I will absolutely be going back for breakfast/brunch! By the end of dinner it was drizzly outside so we were a little disappointed that we weren’t going to be able to sit around the firepit that we read about. However, the owner was nice enough to light a fire in the fire place in the«wood shed». I didn’t even know there was a fire place or a «wood shed», so I was very impressed when I saw the charming, set up with beautiful rustic chandeliers. It would be a wonderful spot to host any type of party! When I made my way to the bar inside, we were offered blankets to use out doors! I was astounded… What restaurant/bar offers blankies ?!(This is my kind of place!) Fantastic customer service!

I really had such high hopes for Tree House Tavern. I’ve heard such rave reviews about the food but I found that everything I ordered was only ok at best. To start the setup of the space itself is very cutesy and if you use your imagination you could actually feel like you are in a giant tree house. There are stuffed woodland creature toys everywhere and Christmas lights tangled in little branches to give it that whimsical feeling. We walked in and weren’t greeted by anyone for a little while, we just kind’ve stood there waiting and then were told we could choose where we wanted to sit. We chose our seats and were given menus. The place was pretty empty, maybe only 2 – 3 other tables in the whole place so we thought it would be a quick Sunday lunch before we hit some stores before they all closed at 6. My sister and I decided we wanted to try a few things since we had heard so much about the food being amazing so we decided to get cups of clam chowder and to split the pulled pork nachos and the Earl of Warwick sandwich. Our chowder took quite a while to get to us and when it arrived we were a little disappointed with how watery it was. It was more soupy than chowder-y and was not as flavorful as we had hoped. Oh well, the pulled pork nachos would save us right? Hmmmm not so much. While the pork and bbq sauce were tasty the chips were stale and it kind’ve ruined the experience. We ate half and boxed the rest to pawn off on my brother-in-law later. Next up was our Earl of Warwick sandwich which consisted of carved turkey, bacon and melted brie on a croissant and came with a side of potato wedges. The sandwich was decent, the bacon was super crispy just like I like it and the croissant was delish. I was disappointed in the potato wedges, they have a kind of coating on them, which I am never a fan of on any fries. The remainder of the fries were boxed up and sent home to my bro-in-law as well. Next up was the dessert, which the waitress just brings over a tray of different offerings and puts it on your table and asks what you want. We decided to try the Bailey’s pudding. It was very good, with a hint of Bailey’s Irish cream mixed into chocolate pudding topped with whipped cream and some Oreos. The prices were fair. I just wish I had enjoyed my meal more. Service was pretty slow. We realized upon leaving that it was a very long lunch as we arrived at 2pm and didn’t leave until 4:30pm. Weird since half of the people in the place left while we were eating our chowder appetizer. I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here again honestly.
