Yes, in fact it IS the nerdy teacher in me that makes me go to and love these kinds of places. I liked the info about the context of Lewis and Clark before we visited the fort. And I am a sucker for the gift shops!
Lewis and Clark were really cool dudes, if you are ever near by, check it out.

I recommend you visit this center before you travel on to Fort Mandan. It gives good background for what you will see then.
Lewis and Clark were important in the history of the United States and have 3 Forts to mark their contributions. It is pretty cool to see one of them. Now I have two more to visit.
If you are interested, read Undaunted Courage by Stephen Ambrose and then come out here. You will enjoy it.
