Tesla Motors

As a result of my influence, I brought the DC dealership a client that consummated a Model S lease agreement. I was given a token of the sales person’s appreciation but the quality of their branded merchandise required that I send the product to their HQ’s store for an exchange.
John Journey confirmed by email that I could exchange the item; but, weeks have passed and the Journey has not responded to my emails or calls. A ‘common human courtesy’ would be to reply to my inquiries with a status report.
Subsequently, another of my clients has emerged with the resources to purchase a Tesla; but, in light of the treatment I received by the Marketing Merchandise Department, I will guide this client’s impulse to be green elsewhere. Hard to believe but I think this Journey guy’s logic is ‘penny wise, but big picture foolish’. It’s the small gestures and sentiments that inspire long term loyalties.
BTW, the sales person that directed the Model S test drive did an excellent job. The vehicle promises a bright future for their SUV and their 2018 sedan @ ~ $ 35k. Their follow up conduct to a consummated sale, surprisingly, lacks humanity, especially in light of the promoted profile that touts a green and compassionate heart.

Dear Mr. Elon Musk,
Sunday March 30 was one of those stormy, gray spring day; snow and sleet had usurped the position of sunshine and cherry blossoms. Fortunately for me, I had my own «silver lining» — a visit to Washington D.C.‘s Tesla Motors, and a test drive arranged by my father and Ms. Savayia Singh (Sales Advisor, Palo Alto, CA).
As my passengers in the Tesla Model S, I had my father and Marcus Schwab (Owner Advisor, Washington, D.C.). As I fiddled with the seat and adjusted the mirrors, Mr. Schwab described the car’s features. In impressive, yet neither overwhelming nor pretentious, terms, he explained the adjustable suspension, the regenerative braking system and the multiple steering settings. As I crept out of the parking garage — nervous that I would ding a mirror — Mr. Schwab shocked me as he encouraged me to test the car’s acceleration. He assuaged my concerns about the console «freezing,» assuring me that if that occurred, the car would continue to run, and I could safely reset the display. After a smooth ride, evidenced by an intact Tesla, driver and passengers upon return to the parking garage, Mr. Schwab, a mechanical engineer by training, educated us about the mechanics — or electrics? — of making a Tesla go. Simply, Mr. Musk, in hiring and exporting Mr. Schwab from California, you have secured an employee with an earnest passion and a genuine desire to share in and impart knowledge of your start-up’s green energy mission and technological ambitions.
I was also impressed with the Tesla Model S itself. Of note was the layout of the dashboard: comprehensive and easy-​to-​read, I enjoyed glancing at my energy usage in lieu of projected gas milage; kWh in place of RPMs; and an incredibly helpful «road map» complementing the large GPS, showing me the branching of a highway and exactly what lane I was supposed to be in. The adjustable lumbar support was another brilliant addition. Always enamored by sky-​lights, I imagined myself resting on a folded down backseat somewhere along I-​70 in America’s midwest, watching a thunderstorm from the confines of my car.
Of course, Mr. Musk, there are problems with your vehicle, that I hope you’ll forgive me for pointing out. Ever since I looked under the hood of a Ford Model T as a young girl, I have been a bit obsessed with engines. So, you can imagine my disappointment when I looked under the hood of the Tesla and saw nothing but storage space. Nonetheless, I am still inclined to accept my father’s offer of a more advanced Tesla upon graduation from my doctoral program.

I went to an event here to display the Model S before it went on sale that following Friday. It’s a nice show room. It was different than normal showrooms which align to the Tesla’s way. It was small modern showroom displaying only one car. The sales guys were very informative about the vehicle specs which I really like. I have been in several beta vehicles in my lifetime; the inside of the Model S was pretty nice for It to be a beta vehicle. The big bonus when you buy a Tesla? If something goes wrong with it, a technician comes to your home. How cool is that! It’s a nice showroom with some pretty cool sales guy. You should stop by and check it out.
