I used them for the past few years when I was living in the Mount Vernon/Shaw neighborhood, and they were fantastic. I ordinarily don’t write reviews for cleaners unless they are exceptional or very poor, and 11M has been the former. They got out a stain I had for 3 years, that other dry cleaners in NYC could not remove. Excellent. The reviewer below me is correct, some of the reviews are actually for the coin-operated laundry spot across the street — completely different business. Their prices are reasonable $ 2 to launder work shirt, and $ 6 for pants, with suits running $ 12. Alterations have been good — a few misses — but they rectified any issues I had by correcting the problems free of charge. Overall, excellent cleaning service that I sorely miss now that I no longer live in the neighborhood!

I’m noticing a lot of the negative reviews here are NOT for 11 M cleaners… They appear to be for the laundry mat«11-M Coin Laundry», which is on the North East corner of M and 11th and apparently also takes laundry to ‘supposedly’ be dry cleaned. «11M cleaners» is the little dry cleaners that is just 3 doors South of the corner of 11th and M street and is fabulous. Here is their webpage… I’ve been using this place weekly since 2008. In all that time I haven’t had one problem(except for a time I instructed them to do dry clean something that I later realized had a tag that said do not dry clean). On several occasions they have gone as far as to take my more elaborate items(wax finished jeans, silk coat, etc…) aside and hand wash them personally just to be on the safe side. They do excellent work and are an extremely polite and friendly family. I lived almost across the street until 2014 when I bought a place way up NW, yet my wife and I still go WAY out of our way to go only to this place any time we have a specialty item or an expensive article that we wont trust with anyone else… despite both of us having dry cleaners across the streets from our offices. One Tip… If you are the type of person who is on a very tight schedule, don’t always expect to walk in right at 7:30am when they are scheduled to open. Once in a while they unlock the front door a few minutes late, but not by much.

I will not be returning. I took several dresses in to be dry cleaned and specifically asked for them to be dry cleaned even though the tag says they can be washed on delicate. My dresses came back with lots of fabric balls on them and looking like they had been through a washing machine. Not good quality and overpriced.

Typical dry cleaning set up with a very nice couple who runs it. They will learn your name after just a few visits. Yes it is on the expensive side, but its not that much above most other dry cleaning places in the area. Mens shirts run about $ 1.99 and a two piece suit runs $ 12.75. For anyone living nearby its works well. Convenience is its biggest attraction.

I thought it was an anomaly and didn’t want to write a negative review when my suit jacket was«dry cleaned» and returned with little fuzzies around the shoulder but then I decided to look at some other items I’ve had dry cleaned here. I have to say I didn’t check my two dresses when I picked them up back in October, but deciding I wanted to wear both of them this week, I took a look. One dress was returned with the hook and eye completely gone!(The hook and eye closure is a common way to fasten garments together.) The other was pretty loose, and I am sure once I wear it, it will get broken. My boyfriend has also had issues with getting his shirts dry cleaned here. As nice as the workers are, it’s not worth the expensive price to get things cleaned only to have them returned damage.

A generic laundry facility that blasts Spanish-language TV and uses duct tape to fix any mechanical problems. The ownership here is busy investing their profits back into more gold teeth and overly tight-fitting leggings/jeans, but they still find time to run a shady commercial laundry facility that boasts a decent selection of washers about as old as I am. Not recommended for first dates, but a decent place to do your laundry and people watch.

EXPENSIVE! We went to this cleaners because it’s across the street from our apartment building, but we will not pay for the high prices anymore. I spend three times as much at this cleaners than I would at other places. Insane! Now we’re going to walk the extra three blocks to the cleaners on 12th& L to save money.

If you’re willing to pay $ 42 to dry clean a comforter then by all means patronize this business. Otherwise, save your money and go elsewhere. This place is in business because there are no other convenient options in the neighborhood. The place is ridiculously overpriced. I will say, however, that the people who work here are very kind, but that doesn’t do it for me.

The dry cleaning is OK for suits and dresses. But they wrapped my sweaters in scented tissue paper, which I somehow didn’t realize while getting dressed. Now I’m stuck at work allergic to my clothes and smelling like old lady perfume. Not cool. About half of what I brought here is going to have to be re-dry cleaned.

The husband and wife team who own the dry cleaners are really great. Very professional and pleasant. They are right around the from me and know both my name and my husbands. Maybe they are more expensive as some reviewers say, but the convenience is key for me. One time I dropped off a silk camisole and I had«fixed» the strap myself. They had fixed it for me, no charge! Oh, and she has the most beautiful plant garden in her window. If you have something very fancy, or sentimental, etc. then yes, I would probably take it somewhere else. But for the basics, you are good to go.

3.5 stars Since I hadn’t bothered Dryel-ing my cashmere and wool sweaters or my flannel slacks before Christmas, I gave up and took them to 11-M, since it’s a block away from my house. I don’t normally believe in drycleaning because it can be so expensive, but since I’m beginning to suspect that Dryel is sham(Ever notice that your clothes only smell good afterwards? You have no proof whatsoever that they’re actually clean… Think about it…), I parted with the dough. 11-M got the job done and pressed my flannels quite nicely. My only thing was, I was charged for 2 cashmere sweaters when one is merino wool. Big difference. Otherwise, they did a fine job for me, and were nice about it all.
