The saving grace for this 7-Eleven is that it’s the closest one in my neighborhood. But there is ALWAYS folks outside begging and the coffee & slurpee areas are often a mess. They do however sell some really great incense!

And currently the city’s population of insane, shouting panhandlers and loiterers seems to have voted it their number one hangout. They have been showing up with pillows, boom boxes, and other belongings and household items. It becomes necessary to avert your gaze and hurry when walking by, unless you want to be shouted at or otherwise accosted. Meanwhile, the police continue to stop by for their donuts and coffee.

Open 24 hours. I’ve only ever ventured in while drunkenly meandering home from H St. One guy on the corner is leaning, chatting into another guy’s car in a way that I don’t think I’m supposed to see. Inside the 7 – 11 the lights are bright and the whole place feels a bit dingy. Anything«fresh» looks like its seen better days. Slightly disappointing candy/junk food section. How do you have so few varieties of frozen pizza? Corner stores on Penn have half the space and twice the stuff.
