Adobe Training by Sterling Ledet

I previously wrote a negative review based on the process of actually getting into the classroom, as there were last minute cancellations. Rather than revise my past review, I thought it best to delete the previous one and rewrite a new one.
My experience has changed, though, since I finally have completed the course. In reaching out to the general support number on the website, it seemed as though the were indifferent about my dissatisfaction, but the DC group changed that.
The local DC rep, Taniesha Davis, was extremely proactive in righting a wrong and even went as far as to rearrange schedules to ensure I would get into the next session I waited for.
The instructor I had, Susan Krupkowski, for the Advanced InDesign course, was lovely. She was very helpful and knowledgeable. I learned a lot of tricks I was completely unaware of. I do wish there were a bit more instruction involving graphic design, but otherwise it was a good experience once I got into the classroom. I recommend this program.

I attended the 3-​day Creative Suite 6 Boot Camp here this week and really enjoyed it. It was a small class and a great teacher that focused on Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. I signed up for the class because I wanted to gain a basic working knowledge of the tools and capabilities of three applications! This class definitely met my expectations. I had used both Photoshop and InDesign a little bit beforehand, but with this class I was able to get a lot more insight into what the programs could do and was able practice the the tools (and shortcuts! I love keyboard shortcuts!). Illustrator was my weak skill set going in and after the working with it for a day, I now feel that I can actually work in the application with more ease and productivity.
One reason that I am posting a Unilocal review, is that I looked at the reviews here before signing up and I wanted to pass on the great review for anyone that is considering the classes here. I say it is worth it.

I attended an InDesign class here several years ago. I would highly recommend Sterling Ledet to anyone looking to gain basic or more advanced skills in Adobe design software.
I had very little design experience going into the class, but was able to learn enough to handle several design tasks at my company. This was very helpful as we didn’t always have the resources or time to use an outside design company for every project. The cost of the class was a great investment and ended up saving us a lot of money and time in the long run.
I wish I was still in DC so I could keep taking classes here!

Last week, I had the pleasure of taking the Adobe CS5 Bootcamp class in Washington, DC. The class spanned 3 days and focused on a day of Photoshop, a day of Illustrator, and a day of InDesign. This amount of training and the way in which it was taught was perfect for the CS5 beginner.
I am a manager of designers, and until I took the class, it was hard to understand exactly what they were working on or how to manage their workload. After taking this class, not only am I a better manager, I also can do lots myself!
Susan, the instructor, was fantastic. She went at the perfect speed and slowed down for questions as needed. Susan has a wealth of Adobe experience combined with a background in classroom teaching, making her a perfect instructor for this software.
From an administrative point of view, I had to reschedule a few times and Ledet worked quickly with me to work with my calendar issues.
I look forward to taking more classes with Ledet as I expand my Adobe skillset.
