Worst pizza I’ve ever eaten. I ordered a Medium pizza and the Spinach Artichoke Sticks via the EatStreet App. The time quoted to me was 35 minutes and it arrived 55 minutes later… not usually a big deal, only both my pizza and appetizer were cold. The driver called, and refused to come up to the second floor, he insisted that someone come down and get the pizza from the car. The driver rudely shoved the boxes into my hands and then tried to leave without giving me a receipt. I asked him for it and he just shrugged, saying, «Yeah, I don’t have one… you can call the manager.» What kind of delivery person doesn’t provide a receipt with the order? Don’t they want a tip? Oh right… they did… they charged my card automatically with an 18% tip which may or may not have been why my receipt wasn’t given to me right away. None of the appetizers had descriptions, so imagine my surprise when the Spinach Artichoke Sticks turned out to be some kind of spinach calzone with absolutely no cheese, no flavor, and served freezing cold.(Although that could have been because the delivery person took an extra 20 minutes to get there). The pizza itself was runny, and it seemed as though someone just threw toppings, sauce, and cheese at a barely-cooked lump of dough. Uneven cuts made it impossible to get anything but a one inch slice or an 8 inch slice, and there were full(8 inch) slices that had no toppings on them because of how poorly the distribution of toppings was across the pizza. I’m not sure how they managed it, but the pizza managed to be both undercooked and burnt around the edges. The dough still had a moist-doughishness to it, and the crust added a charred taste to the overall pie. You’re better off eating at ANY of the national pizza chains than this place… I ate one piece of the spinach-artichoke sticks and one slice of pizza and then threw the rest away. Absolutely disgusting.

I introduced this pizza to some friends of mine that lived in new york for a number of years — they said it was the closest thing they had found to pizza that resembled pizza from new york

I bought a living social $ 10 for $ 1 credit and used it to augment my dinner. Garlic Knots and Buffalo Wings. The Garlic Knots were yeast knots with no flakiness, they might as well have had them boiled. They were packed in french fries coated in garlic sauce. Yuck. I also picked up some buffalo wings and added a request that they fry the wings hard. What came was not hard fried and barely had wing sauce. Only 6 wing parts packed in fries with a container of ranch dressing, no celery. Reading other reviews — if they are open when other places aren’t. It gets stars for the hours. Otherwise, again, yuk.

Pretty damn good late night cheesesteak. Nuff said. Cappuchino’s saved my life more than a few times. Ohhhhhhhhhh!

This review is for delivery. Al Capuccino’s — that’s how it’s spelled! Unilocal needs to be corrected — is one of the best pizza places in DC. Simple and delicious pizza: 1) Soft doughy under-crust baked just enough to let a slice hold its form, while outer crust is dense and well done 2) Toppings are always fresh with great color and taste, and roughly chopped(the vegetable pizza comes with half-clove chunks of garlic) making for big taste 3) The right amount of cheese to complement the toppings Al Cap’s other menu items such as the subs are also quite good but it’s really all about the pizza. They deliver late night/early morning, typically within the wait time quoted and the delivery woman always calls about 10 minutes ahead of time — if you ask they’ll pick up just about anything available at a quick-mart on the way.

After a long night of partying, dark and stormys, Lilly Pulitzer clad women, and more drinking, a few friends decided to make a rallying cry, «LET’S GETTHE F%$# OUTOFHERE!!» So we exited Paolo’s on a quest for a late night piece… and got pizza. At first, when my friends said, «hey, we’re going to Cappuchinos,» I balked thinking, why the hell would anyone want coffee at 2:30am? After someone pointed out that I was a hellacious boob and didn’t know what the hell I was talking about, I grunted approval as the smell of pie was wafting out onto the street. Not sure what to expect, I walked in to find several of my lady friends, gaily clad in Lilly dresses, carrying about with the owner and his workers. I nearly shit myself when I saw one girl grab the dough and attempt to whirl it — she succeeded in getting herself shooed out of the kitchen area by the big Mongol dude work there. I settled in for a slice of combination — but considering it was very NY style(the slices were pre-made and then reheated from a pile of them on the counter), I wasn’t terribly impressed. I should have gotten the pepperoni — it was fresher and looked a tad cheesier. But otherwise, for the time allowed and Sam’s friendliness, it was a good close out to a long night… that didn’t end until about almost 4:00 am. I haven’t done that in a LOOOONG time…

When it’s on, I think its the best pizza in Georgetown. It can be inconsistent though.

After a night out in Georgetown and ump-teen beers some food was needed to soak up the booze. My sister-inlaw lives near Cappucinos, so she said it was OPEN at 2:30AM! The pizza is 10 steps down from Pizza Slut(in my opinion the worst pizza, until this occasion). Maybe they made the pizza at noon, but it was still terrible considering. Now if you need to soak up the booze to avoid the hangover, its better than dog food.

Not the best pizza in the world, but they’re open 24 hours, and are just a short walk up Wisconsin from M Street. Coming out of the bars and looking for a slice, you’re not going to find one more convenient than here. Seating is VERY limited. Cash only.
