Decent selection of secondhand mid-to-high end watches, including an assortment of Rolexes, some Panerai, Cartier, and the occasional Patek &AP. Pretty standard, you say? Nope. You’d be hard pressed to find another store in DC with the same selection, reasonable prices, and knowledgeable owner. He can also get whatever watch you’re looking for if its not in his inventory. What really gives this place 5 stars, however, is the customer service. Purchased a watch here in May 2014 and recently swapped it for a different model. The owner, Moshe, valued my old watch exactly for what I bought it. Fully support this local business.

Replaced my TAG Heuer battery for $ 40 as a walk in in 30 minutes. Man at counter was nice enough. I came here because it’s just a block from where I live. They have a small collection of used high end watches and other jewelry. The jewelry styles were sort of matronly in my opinion. Didn’t see anything I liked. Also had a small selection of engagement/wedding rings. I suppose I would go back out of convenience if I needed my watch repaired. They also buy watches.

I pop into his store every once in a while when I’m in Georgetown to talk watches and look at some of his timepieces. Every so often you’ll catch a rare Patek in his showcase and his prices are very reasonable. He usually has some Panerai and Audemars ROO models in his window, too. A stainless steel 2005116520 Daytona serviced by Andante with store warranty for 9500 is better than what you’d commonly find at gray market dealers or on respective forums. My new BLNR(bought BNIB from non-AD), Andante appraised for $ 60 and sent me a pdf copy to my email address as well as the physical document to my home. I couldn’t find a watch appraisal cheaper anywhere in the region. The only Rolex AD in DC on Connecticut Ave wanted $ 250 through their appraiser because I didn’t purchase the watch from them.

I just want to update my previous entry and note that I am delighted by additional beautiful items I have bought here and have been thoroughly enjoying them. For example, I bought a fantastic set — ring, bracelet and earrings of very well made 3 different colored citrine stones. It is comfortable and really elegant — I can’t resist choosing this set over all my other jewelry. He has really nice pieces, they are very well priced, and he is willing to work with you to make you happy and walk away feeling very pleased with your purchase. It is a great feeling to enjoy beautiful things you also know you bought for a very good price. Thanks very much again! Also, PS — he has done several things for me for free, for no gain, and just to be kind, and I was not buying anything from him at those times. I would choose him first over any other jeweler in our area.

Highly recommend! I went in to see if I could get my watch band fixed… the gentleman was able to put my watch band back together and was extremely nice and did not charge me. I will definitely go back if I need any more extensive repairs. Please support this local business!

Andante is one of the few HONEST family jewelers left in America. The proprietor, Moishe has been more than FAIR in all his transactions with me. Today i needed 3 presentation boxes for cufflinks, he did not charge. in last 2 years, i have bought from him, sold to him, and his on site jeweler has repaired(extremely well) several of my jewelry and timepieces. Moishe is also good for advice about care, resale, repairs, and Middle Eastern politics. I strongly recommend Andante and Moishe.

They charged $ 10 to remove two links from my watch. That’s $ 5 per link, when most places will do that for free. I will not be back.
