I ordered lunch to be delivered and received confirmation that my food would arrive between 1:25 — 1:35…at 1:45 when I realized I was still waiting, I called the restaurant and the manager said the driver was about to leave. Twenty minutes after my scheduled delivery time, and the driver had yet to even leave. When I expressed my displeasure, the manager asked«do you want a refund or not?» He was very rude, and not at all apologetic for the delay. The food finally arrived forty minutes after it was supposed to. I will not be ordering from them in the future.

I’m a big fan of Baja Fresh because they have fast delivery, fresh inexpensive food that works with my diet. The Baja Ensalada with Chicken with Fat Free Salsa Verde Dressing gives 46 grams of fresh thick pieces of chicken and a ton of lettuce, while the salsa verde dressing is zesty and because it has no oil has really low calories. The whole salad itself is even with the chips crunched in and cheese to spice it up is 310 calories!!! I recommend this to anyone dieting– my boyfriend and my personal trainer now get it too haha. They are quick with delivery too. Because when you order through Unilocal/Eat 24 you get a $ 2 coupon and free delivery, I’ll either order two salads or one salad and one chicken burrito bare style. The chicken baja burrito bare style is 440 calories with 52 grams of protein of chicken and delicious guac and cheese. Also two little packets of chips come with your order which I always eat and never remember to calculate in my diet, but who cares, they’re delicious. Anyways, I highly recommend Baja Fresh. You can get two fresh healthy filling meals for under $ 20. Their delivery is fast and in the store, they give free refills and have an open salsa bar. The people have always been very nice and chill. I like this place a lot!

Don’t come here if you are expecting a wholesome, well-seasoned meal. If you’re a tourist and you want a taste of DC definitely pick an actual sit-down and be waited on restaurant. However, if you’re new to the area and you’re looking for a lunch spot during the work day or a quick grab some dinner after work place, Baja is great. I come here frequently as a GW student because they offer a 10% discount. I also save all of their receipts and fill out the online survey to get $ 2 off AND they have rewards cards that you can punch each time you buy a meal, then the 10th one is free. So for someone looking to save money on food Baja is my go to place! Since I come here so often I have had meals that are surprisingly good and others that are just eh. I usually order a carnitas quesadilla, the shrimp chili lime salad(only the summer special I think) or the steak tostada salad. The shrimp chili lime salad is a huge serving a REALLY good! The carnitas quesadilla can either be amazingly juicy and flavorful or pretty dry and whatever. The tostada salad is also a large serving and will definitely fill you up. I usually have leftovers to take home which is also a reason I come here so often. Their salsa bar is awesome! Overall: If you want a quick bite to eat(dine in or take out) and you aren’t expecting much, Baja is perfect. They have large portions and good food for being affordable and fast.

The vegetarian burrito rocks and you can skip the line if you call and order your meal ahead of time.

Four stars for catering. Everyone in my office is tired of the old sandwich/soup combos that get brought in for meetings. The K street Baja Fresh can handle small group orders with fairly short notice and they deliver. I can feed a group of 10 for less than $ 10 a head. It’s a total win.

Typically I love Baja Fresh and I’ve been to the one at 20th and I many times. Today I ordered the Chile line shrimp salad. It was nothing more than a plate of lettuce with avocado, grilled shrimp, and pico de gallo. No salad dressing! How could someone make a salad and forget the dressing. I was so looking forward to the chile lime dressing.

Ok food, but I personally thought the soft tortillas tasted like cardboard. Great filling though, but overall a pathetic chipotle copy.

Nothing fresh about this place. I ordered the baja burrito with steak. It has a small amount of steak. A ton of tomatoes/pico and my first bite took down all the guacamole in the meal. I am not a picky eater but even I couldn’t finish this meal due to the lack of freshness.

Placed an order for delivery online. 30 min after placing this I get a call from the restaurant asking me if I want to cancel b/c my order will be late. I asked how late. Was told another 30 – 45 min. I said, that’s fine, no problem. Two and half hours after originally placing the order the food arrives. And the food is okay, and cold. And this is tex mex, the food needs to be served hot, melty cheese and such, it doesn’t work. It probably would have been fine in the restaurant itself, if looking for delivery, skip.

Very good service, great staff and fresh food all the time. Highly recommended for good Mexican food. The thing that i liked the most was the fresh salsa and the free chips. The location is also very good, right in the heart of DC

I have been going to this Baha Fresh for a few years now. They have always offered a rewards program through punch cards. Once you get 9 punches, your 10th meal is free. I collected 3 of these cards with a total of 9 punches combined over the past year and tried to turn them in last week. The cashier simply looked at me and said«No». I asked why not and he said that it was too difficult. All he had to do was take the cards, punch one of them to make a full card and give me the free meal. I left without ordering. This particular franchise is dishonest, disreputable and their customer service is lacking. I have seen other reviews where patrons were turned away with company coupons that this franchise did not want to honor. I think the store and its owner is more interested in making money than serving their customers. I will not support this location and would suggest no one else does. I also contacted their corporate office with not even a single reply in over a week. There is a Chipotle a few blocks away with better food, better service and cheaper.

I was too lazy to wait in line for Chiptotle but SO glad I tried this place out. Now don’t get me wrong I probably wouldn’t want to dine in, but I would def come back here just for the salsa bar. The BBQ chicken salad was a generous portion and with the addition of all the different salsas at the amazing salsa bar, this had just the right amount of spice. Honestly I’m prettty sure I got about $ 8 worth of salsa — I’ll be back!!!

Baja Fresh is like Chipotle’s redheaded stepbrother that tries two times as hard. And that’s a good thing, at least as far as customers are concerned. Baja Fresh is a Mexican joint that does a bunch of different types of familiar meals(tacos, fajitas, etc.) but in a «fresh» — that is, prepared-for-you — way. The results are pretty darn tasty, and this is a great lunch place for those in the area. I highly recommend the fajitas, which are pretty good. The only problem I have with Baja Fresh is that it can get a bit bland — «fresh» in some circumstances means«not really seasoned all that much.» Don’t expect something truly spicy here unless you pour some of their(pretty darn good) salsa on it.

DONOTEATHERE. My colleague just found a meal worm in her grilled fish tacos. We are all very disturbed by the incident in our office — and then I found this article, and am now even more disturbed! Can’t believe I’ve ever eaten there now…

Tons of seating inside, barely any parking outside, so my recommendation is to take public transportation or your own two feet. Even during lunch hour, they are able to get your food out and accurate within 5 minutes. I am so pleased with them! Also, can’t beat a huge taco salad for less than $ 6. I usually go to the Well-Dressed Burrito just a few blocks up but it was cold and I wimped out so I went here because it’s closer. The salsa/pepperoncini/jalapeño bar is always full and varied! I always load up. And grab a few extra plastic spoons, knives, and forks for when I’m in the office and don’t have these.

I received a birthday coupon in my e-mail from a company called«Baja Fresh» — that IS the same company that franchises this restaurant I’m reviewing, is it not? Just checking, as I do like to be accurate. The coupon says, «Not valid at Express, Hotel, or Airport locations.» No problem! I’m really quite good at following directions. So I took 15 minutes out of my busy work schedule on my birthday to come to Baja Fresh and enjoy the small pleasure of a free burrito. «No, sorry.» The owner of this specific Baja Fresh — after benefiting from the parent company’s aggressive e-mailing campaign — has decided not to honor my birthday coupon. Reading the other reviews, I see that I am not the only one who was bait-and-switched by this restaurant for the same promotion. Fine. It’s the owner’s right to abuse customers with unscrupulous behavior, just as it’s my choice to never visit this location again and to post this negative review. I hope the forgone hundreds of dollars I would have spent here over my lifetime and the negative publicity was worth screwing me out of $ 5 on my birthday. Such a savvy businessperson.

Do your self a solid and eat at a different Baja Fresh in DC. These guys suck!!! I waited 1.5 hours for my order to arrive and they are five minutes away from me! Nope. no no no. They’re are a lot of Baja Fresh’s in the city, choose a different one. Update: Have you ever seen the meme«sorry for the things I said when I was hungry(picture attached)?» Well when I wrote this review I was REALLY hungry and there was a mis communication about my order. The guy who was delivering called me BUT it was my cell phone that had issues. I have ordered from here over 20 times in the last 12 months(I know, I know). I am a big Baka fresh guy. I would recommend here.

What a birthday lunch I didn’t have. I received a email stating I could enjoy a free classic burrito with the purchase of a large beverage. I just walked to the nearest location at 1990 K Street, NW, Washington, DC. Well imagine my surprise when I was told by the staff member and manager that this location doesn’t honor this coupon. The manage told me that this location was a franchise store. He suggested that if I wanted to use this coupon, I must go to a non-franchise store. Don’t know how they are identifiable. «Not honored at franchise location» is not printed on the coupon. So with this flub up I will no longer be a customer of your establishment.
