If this is your neighborhood dry cleaner, you’re in luck. .. there’s a really good dry cleaners right across the street. (Don’t just take my word for it, check the reviews for Tony’s Cleaners.) The next time you’re thinking of taking anything here, walk right up to the door, make a 180 degree turn, and you’ll be looking directly at Tony’s Cleaners. Do yourself a favor and take your clothes there.
When I first moved here, my aunt asked me to pick up some items that she had trusted to this place. I needed a few items cleaned so I dropped them off at the same time. When I returned a few days later to pick up my clothes, I noticed a light blue stain that ran down the leg of one of the pants. When I showed it to the guy behind the counter, he apologized, gave me a new ticket and told me that I’d be able to pick them up the next day.
When I returned the next day, there was a new guy behind the counter. I gave him the ticket and waited while he went to retrieve them. After a few minutes, he came back and asked «When did you drop these off?» I told him and he went to the back again. He returned a few minutes later and said he couldn’t find them. I told him that I wasn’t leaving without them, and suggested he call the guy who was working yesterday. He went back once again and returned with my pants.
The stain was gone, but the pants were badly wrinkled and slightly damp. He said they’d be ready the next day. At that point, I’d had enough and decided to take the pants with me. (I left in such a hurry that I neglected to get the refund I rightfully deserved.) I noticed Tony’s Cleaners across the street, took my pants there, and have been taking my clothes there ever since.
Belair gets more business than it should, primarily because it has a small parking lot in an area where there is not much parking. By all means, use the parking lot if you must, then take your items across the street to Tony’s. You’ll be much better off.

I have been a regular customer at this cleaners for over 5 years. I recently took some clothes to the cleaners and when I went to pick up my
Clothes one of my shirts was missing. The shirt that is missing vineyard vines classic fit style #1W1017 valued at $ 100. I can’ t believe the cleaners only offered me $ 20 which barely pays for the sales tax lol. These cleaners need to understand we don’t take things to them that we don’t care about.

I live on U St. and the most reasonably priced and high quality dry cleaner nearby WAS Zips dry cleaners until I discovered this place… its only .5 miles away to get from the U Street corridor, 1 mile away from Penn Quarter and sooooooo much easier to get to than Van Ness, where you have to go through a million traffic lights…
Anyway, very reasonably priced. Took my silk blouses there, got them dry cleaned for $ 1.99, they looked great. And unlike Zips, they didn’t turn away my fancier garments — they just smiled, took them, and did a quality job on clearning them… Plan to take my boyfriends shirts and have them laundered for 99 cents…

Best priced cleaners in the DMV! And same day service too! I almost did not want to write a review about this place because it has been my little «cleaners secret» for over 5 years now! We all need a decent cleaners in our life and this place is it. Laundered Shirts are $ .99 cents! YESSS!!! $ .99 cents folks! Dry Cleaning is $ 1.99 per item! Unheard of these dayz! «In before 10am, out by 4pm!» everyday is their creed to servicing customers… perfect plan to my Saturday chores… before the work week!
This place is kind of hard to find as to it is located in small corner hole of a shopping center on GA Ave, with no notable door sign. I first stumbled on this place years ago, when a neighboring cleaners – across the street from this place had outrageous prices and could not get my clothes back to me for 3 days! Call me crazy. but $ 4 bucks a garment… and delayed service makes no sense! I am a Baller, but a cheap one!
PROS: Exceptional prices for Cleaners in the DMV! Same day service! Bel Air Cleaners offers decent service and cleans/​press my business-​dress shirts very well.
CONS: Okay with Stains. Can be a bit rough on your buttons! LOL! I hate that… but most cleaners are. Not the best cleaners for your most prized-​expensive garments… go somewhere else!
