Dr. Stearn is great. Very personable and he never has made me feel as though he is rushing me in/out. Has done a great job explaining and educating me about health issues. Been with him for about two years now. I have to say that wait times are never every in excess of 5⁄10 minutes after your appointment. They are always on schedule and usually can get me in within a day or two.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Stearn for a over year now. In an age where the quality of health care is under extreme skepticism and criticism, Dr. Stearn provides thorough and caring service to his patients. He always answers my questions thoroughly and is a valuable partner in my overall wellness. What I really like about Dr. Stearn is his calm bedside manner and conservative approach to treatment. I don’t like taking a lot of medication and I feel as though Dr. Stearn listens to my needs but backs them up with thorough examinations, accurate diagnoses, and objectivity, recommending medication only when warranted. The staff at Dupont Physicians couldn’t be more helpful. The front desk is efficiently run and the phlebotomist makes the process of taking blood as «painless» as possible. I’ve visited the office a total of four times since becoming a patient and have never had to wait. Billing is accurate, and appointment scheduling is easy. I only have praise for Dr. Stearn and the staff at Dupont Physicians. Finally, I’ve found a physician who spends time with me and doesn’t give me the brush off!

I have been using Ben Stearn as my doctor for many years now and I have recommended him to many of my friends. You go to a doctor for his skill, first and foremost, and Dr. Stearn is a careful diagnostician. He takes the time to ask questions and really listen to your answers and he is thorough in his examinations — for example, a yearly examination of your skin for possible cancers takes time and he takes the time. He explains treatments and alternatives and takes costs into account. He never seems to be in a rush and he always is prepared, remembering my history without having to read the file while I sit there. The office is gay-friendly; the man who draws your blood is great, plus he is really funny. It is a first-class operation all around.

You couldn’t ask for a nicer GP. Most of his clients are gay, and he specializes in treating HIV, but although I don’t match either category he has always done a great job attending to my problems. He explains everything he does and never seems to be in a rush. Two other good things: he uses a laptop to take notes and sends the prescriptions straight to the pharmacy, so there’s no worry about bad handwriting. And all the specialists he’s sent me too have all been on the top of their games.
