Birchbox

Disclaimer: My wife is the one writing this review. Well, I am typing and she is telling me what to write.
If you’ve been too any Birchbox store anywhere else (like the Manhattan location), set your expectations now that this place is in a shoebox. It’s in the corner of Rent the Runway in Georgetown and tiny. It’s a cube off the corner with a cash register, a table in the center, and a line of products on either side. If someone’s looking at the table, you’ll need to squeeze by to get around them.
That said, a small Bircbox is better than no Birchbox. The staff are very friendly (not in an off putting way) and helpful (Shoutout to Anna who may be the best sales rep in the entire Birchbox Empire). If you want, they’ll try out different make up on you and recommend things that may go well with your look/​skin tone.
We overheard one staff member say if this location does well in one year, they’ll move into a bigger space. I think they’re well on their way. Well done, Birchbox DC.

I’ve been a Birchbox subscriber for more than a year and love getting the monthly boxes so I was really excited to visit their store inside Rent the Runway. When I got inside, I was surprised to see how small it was, reminding me more of one of those mall kiosks which made it a little cramped.
However, they still had the BYOB and I happily made my box. You can get one item from each type (makeup, skincare, etc) and it costs $ 15 for 5 products. A little expensive but still worth it considering you can actually pick out each item you want instead of getting surprised like a typical monthly box.
Definitely recommend checking out if you are in the Georgetown area!
