We found Bobby’s Burger Palace at just the right time when we were all in the mood for some good beef, buns, and fries. Bobby’s did not disappoint our group of 7, and now, I wish one of these would open up closer to home. The joint is very retro modern inspired and I love the giant menu on the wall as you walk in, perfect for my sad four-eyedness. Ordering was a breeze and our meals were all around $ 10 a piece, which included a burger, shared fries or onion rings and a drink. My milkshake was awesome too.

Juicy ground turkey Philadelphia burger. Spicy and yummy :) I love the sweet potato fries too and the onion ring batter stands out for a difference. The inside is a cool design too

Thankfully, I went in with low expectations. I’d seen BBP a bunch of times but never ever had the urge to venture in. However, my boyfriend and I decided to grab a bite since we were walking around the neighborhood and a lot of other places were either closed or had long wait times. I ordered the L.A. burger which has avocado relish, watercress, cheddar cheese, and tomato. The burger itself is not bad at all. Cooked to my medium rare liking and I absolutely adore avocado. The watercress was also a nice touch. Overall, a decent burger but I’m never too impressed by burgers so I guess as long as you don’t eff up cooking the beef, you’re good. Honestly, I much rather go to Ray’s Hell Burger. On the other hand, onion rings are not impressive. They’re obnoxiously huge and when I picked them up, the batter fell off in pieces. Also, the sauces on the table are terrible especially the BBP and jalapeño hot sauce.

Super yummy. I don’t get why the reviews are so low for this place. Bobby Flay did not disappoint at all. I think it’s pretty neat that they let you order whatever protein you want with the types of burgers. I ordered this delicious chicken«burger» named the L.A. It had watercress, avocado relish, cheddar and tomato and it was absolutely scrumptious. I seriously devoured this«burger». In case you were wondering I put«burger» in quotes because for me a whole grilled chicken breast makes a chicken sandwich not a burger, but who cares, cause as I said it was Delicious. The décor inside was kinda cool too, it had a 1950’s diner feel. Service was very fast. I’d come back again.

Bobby’s is my favorite place for a fast casual burger. You can taste every flavor in the burger and they aren’t super greasy. My favorite is the LA burger(avocado, watercress, cheddar cheese), and you must get your burger«crunchified,» which means a topping of potato chips. I love their onion rings, but the fries could stand to be tad bit crispier. They also have a great selection of shakes and malts. I’ve definitely noticed an improvement in the service lately.

Better than your average burger! Stopped in here 3:30ish on a weekday and got the Carolina Crunchified, truly medium rare as ordered. They have some awesome sauces, as explained by the friendly staff, but this didn’t need any. Unusually tasty flavor profile that made sense once I read on here it’s Bobby Flay’s place. Wish the burgers were bigger, but I almost always do. I’d stop here again.

Walk in to Bobby Flay’s cheesy face trying to sell you his latest cookbooks, and proceed to the counter where you can find the regionally inspired burger menu sandwiched between more Bobby Flay adds. We ordered the Vegas Burger and the New Mexico burger. The Vegas burger had red chiles and bbq chips while the New Mexico burger had queso, green chilles, and red onions. Although I much preferred the New Mexico burger, both were interesting spins on the classic burger taste. To Bobby’s credit, all the unique ingredients really did complement each other well. And they were tasty without the heavy, nasty burger feeling afterwards. Interesting burgers overall, although not amazing, and I couldn’t shake the slimey feeling of eating next to Bobby’s grinning face as he collected my money.

I enjoyed my burger here. Alittle pricey but the burger was juicy and you could customize in a lot of different ways. My server was really good Jasmine. I would giver her 5. I ate alone because just wanted to break away from my conference hotel and the setup allows for that. Would come back in DC area.

I walk by this place often and thought I would stop in. I’m a fan of Bobby Flay and wanted to test out one of his burgers compared to the many other burgers I have tried lately in this burger craze. The restaurant inside is very nice and a lot cuter than I expected. It has a 1950s feel. The menu has a bunch of unique options. I decided on the Bobby Blue, since I’m a big fan of blue cheese. I got it medium, and it came out just right. The burger patty itself was quite large and the price was a good deal for the size. The bacon was thick and crispy, and the burger was slathered in a sauce with blue cheese on top. The overall burger itself was a little greasy, but hey, it is a burger after all. The overall taste was good, although I felt like the burger patty was a little over seasoned with salt and pepper and the sauce on top was a little overwhelming. Overall, I would say the food was solidly good but due to preference not my favorite. I would recommend trying this place, though.

I was recommended to this place by a local GW student, and I’m happy he did. First impression, I loved the décor of the place, the ordering setup, and the seating. There is tons of seating here(I was in a huge group of 25), so it can hold big groups! This place seemed more unique in that it offered big communal tables and also cool U-shaped tables. All of the burgers here seemed to have a lot of personality and I thought it was neat how they were named after US cities. I had the LA burger because I love avocado. The service was a little slow, but I just attribute that to being part of such a big group of people. The burger was really delicious! Lots of sesame seeds on the top bun and the flavor was really yummy! A real solid juicy burger. I also liked the pickle, a nice additional touch. My only complaint is that it is a little pricier. All the burgers are $ 8 and the fries and shakes/malts are an extra few dollars. I wish the $ 8 included fries because I don’t mind paying extra for a shake, but I didn’t have enough cash on me. They do accept cards, I just didn’t have mine. I would say go once to try, and see if you think a burger is worth the $ 8.

We were here on a Tuesday around 3:30 p.m. I know — a weird time to eat but our daughter had a train to catch at 6 p.m. so… not really lunch and not really dinner but lunner LOL! At that time of day, we were surprised to see that there were others also dining in but, as expected, there were plenty of places to sit. We went to the counter to order our food which consisted of 2 «Home of the crunchburger» with angus beef cooked medium, 1 «Palace classic», also cooked medium with angus beef, 1 order of fries, 1 order of sweet potato fries, 1 Sam Adams and 2 bottled waters. All totaled, it cost $ 41 + change. The clerk was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We were given a number to put on the table. After looking at the dining area, we chose to sit at the«lunch counter», which, actually, looks like a lunch counter but, of course, isn’t a true one since no server takes your order there. The food is cooked to order so it takes a bit of time, especially, when there are others waiting for their food. The burgers are put on sesame seed buns that were fresh, if not really remarkable. While we all wanted them cooked medium, it was more like medium rare. The crunchburgers consist of «double cheese»(American cheese) and potato chips. The chips, indeed, added a nice element of crunch to the burger. The Palace classic consists of «American cheese, lettuce, tomato and red onion». My husband had this burger and liked it. The burgers were juicy — or — maybe they were greasy. We just couldn’t come to a consensus on that. Our daughter insisted they were greasy while my husband thought they were juicy. I wasn’t sure but I was glad that they weren’t dried out. Our daughter thought there was too much salt on the burger but my husband and I didn’t think so. As for the fries — they were good, if a bit overcooked. They are served with chipotle ketchup, which is really spicy. The sweet potato fries, according to our daughter, were the best ones she ever had. I haven’t had many sweet potato fries in the past but I did think they were well prepared and the honey-based sauce served with them complimented them quite nicely. So…we all liked our lunner. Yet, at the same time, we all agreed that while it was good, the burgers weren’t the best we’ve ever had. We would consider going again if we were in the area and craving a burger.

SO good! People who are harsh on this place have to remember you are rating it for what it is: A burger place! 5 stars doesn’t mean it is comparable to, say, New York’s finest 5-star restaurant. It means it is 5 stars in it’s category: Burger places! People tend to forget that and leave places with lower ratings that they don’t deserve. So yes, this is a burger place. A really good burger place. They are comparably priced to any other burger chain like Red Robin but they taste way better. The fries are delicious and I love the flavor combinations on the burgers! Simply put this place has really good gourmet burgers and you should give them a try!

I will admit up front that I apparently do not fully appreciate the characteristics of a gourmet hamburger. I didn’t realize, for example, that medium rare meant cold, raw center. Or that when I picked it up, ½ cup of grease would pour out onto my plate,(That’s assuming I was lucky enough to be holding it over my plate at the time.) Then there are the heavy overtones of…(I’m thinking back to recapture the flavors involved.)… salt, Yes, lots of salt and related salty goodness. I flagged down a waiter who was kind enough to replace my burger with one that was more fully cooked… strike that, cooked period. It still had the grease and salt but at least I had less of a chance of salmonella. The meal wasn’t a total disaster though. Two bright lights shown through. They offered Coke Zero as one of there soda options and I’ll never have to come back here again. Judging from the epic line which formed a few minutes after my 11:40 arrival a lot of people eat here. Many are probably first timers and I guess the rest don’t suffer from my lack of sophistication. However, if they order their food cooked anything shy of well done they might wind up suffering from something far worse.

I hate to be one of those reviewers but I’m gonna do it: I got the Crunchburger and don’t like the restaurant bc it didn’t come with lettuce, tomato or onions. It’s a decent, nicely-prepared patty, but the burger only has cheese and some Lays-esque potato chips between sesame buns. This burger is the feature of their menu, and its underwhelming. Not very satisfying.(TWSS) But let’s not take away from the rest of this place, which is solid! Friendly service and the cashier was patient as I hemmed and hawwed(hem and hawwed?) Another plus is all of the sauces they have on the tables like jalapeño sauce and chipotle ketchup. Who doesn’t a little sauce dripping all over the place? I took off my ugly white jacket with all these useless pockets and zippers…(in the cold, you wear any jacket you have). The resto interior is pretty sweet, and they got some decent jams coming through the speakers. It’s okay, but with the infy places to grab a bite around 20th and K, I’ll have to pass on this place. PS — Hi DC friends, thanks for the add. I am not a bot! dmo out.

I really enjoyed my sandwich… I got the chicken sandwich done in the New Mexico style. I have to admit that the cashier who was picking at stuff/pimple/IDontKnowWhat on his arm while I stood there ordering. that DID gross me out a little… And I’m not a huge fan of the communal tables. But… I really enjoyed my sandwich. It was a chicken breast(cooked well), with white queso, pickled red onions, and green chiles. Great combination. I wish the pickled onions were a little bit more acidic, but you can’t win em’ all. The most disappointing thing was the sauces. Man, all of those sauces on the table… including the BBP sauce that was served to me with my fries were terrible. Let’s go through them. *The BBP sauce which was described to me as a chipotle and red pepper sauce tasted like ranch mixed with bottled roasted red peppers. Not fresh… pretty gross *The brown sauce that was on the table that was suppose to «mimic» A1 tasted awful. It tasted like Montréal steak seasoning and molasses. *The tomatillo sauce was next to flavorless *The Chipotle ketchup tasted like canned adobo with a tiny bit of rotten ketchup *And here is the most disappointing thing. The ketchup tasted really funny itself. Maybe it was Huntz… or maybe they tried to make their own ketchup… but it was not good either. I’m someone who loves loves loves to dip their anything in an anything. I mean… I am the sauce queen. Yes, I realize what I just said. It’s true. Me and Gretchen feel the same way. Sauce after sauce I tried, was just terrible. There were 6 sauces on the table that I could dip my fries in… and I ended up dipping them in mustard cause I was so offended by all the other sauces. Yes. mustard… And that’s why I gave Bobby’s 3 stars. Sandwich was good… fries were good… sauces were awful… service was«picky».

Great mix of interesting flavors for burgers with rich toppings. I got the brunch version which had a fried egg and 2 pieces of bacon. Shakes are traditional or malted and very good. Fries below average.

It’s a good burger. Nothing stands out comparing to other fancy burger joints but they make a good burger. Not a big fan of the fries but onion rings are awesome. Love the milkshakes, especially the pineapple coconut rum one! Space is like any other Bobby’s. Service is efficient. Workday lunch time line can be long but moves fast. They keep the place very clean.

A+ burgers, would eat again, over & over forever. I loooove the Philadelphia(provolone cheese, griddled onions, & hot peppers) & can’t say much about it other than the fact that it’s perfect. That said, the service here is less than stellar. The employees are all incredibly nice, & when your food takes forever to come out, they’ll apologize profusely — but your food WILL take forever to come out. It’s not a one-time thing, either. It will happen every time you go. In other words, if you’re in a hurry, Bobby’s Burger Palace, seek another castle. But if you have some time to spare & want an incredibly delicious, tender, juicy burger, your kingdom awaits. Oh, God, now I want a burger.

What’s with the negative reviews? I had a pleasant experience at Bobby’s Burger Palace and I’m not just saying that because I like the food network star. From the moment I walked in I was greeted with a smiling cashier clerk that was warm and cheerful, unlike some of the other places in DC around lunchtime. In a nutshell my lunch went like this… –Short line while I pursued the menu –Greeted by very nice cashier who took my order –Sat and waited for my food for no more than 10 minutes –Food arrived and I stared at it while my mouth watered –Shortly later my plate was clean –Got up and left with a full stomach I got the New Mexico burger which rocked queso sauce, roasted green chiles, pickled red onions, and I got it crunchified so it came with a generous stack of potato chips on it. Ok it may not have been the best burger in my life, but it was different, juicy, and delicious. Also on each table there were a variety of sauces to add to the burger or dip your sides in and I love having those options with my food! I’m definitely coming back to try some of the other burgers!

I must admit that I’ve had a crush on Bobby Flay since Food Network first rolled onto the scene. I’m sad to say that I do not have a crush on Bobby’s Burger Palace. I was expecting so much more since it was owned by THE Bobby Flay. I mean he is an Iron Chef with several restaurants and television shows across multiple networks. Anyhoo on to the review, I got The Brunch, which consisted of a burger topped with two pieces of bacon and a fried egg. I also ordered the Vanilla Bean milkshake and the ½ and ½(½ onion rings and ½ sweet potato fries). The Burger I got my burger well-done. If I go again I will get the burger medium well because the burger was a little on the dry side. The bacon was good and crispy like I like it. The egg was peppery which I like. The entire package was ok. If the burger had more seasoning and was a little juicier I would have been a happy camper. The Milkshake I have a super sweet tooth and this shake was too sweet for me. My friend got the Blueberry Pomegranate shake and that was actually very tasty. The ½ and ½ Allows you to enjoy two different sides by splitting them in half, hence ½ and ½. I had to chuckled when it came because there were only two onion rings(they were a nice size but two though?). I guess a full size of onion rings would have consisted of 4 onion rings. The sweet potato fries were delicious and so was the honey mustard horseradish sauce. The sauce alone skyrocketed my review to a 4. My high score also comes from the service. The service was excellent. The ambiance was also pretty nice.
