While searching through for some fitness groups to go and workout with, I found this one. The group meets on Sundays at around 8am at 33rd and Water street in Georgetown. Since it’s a Sunday and relatively early, parking is copious and free. It’s crossfit instruction. I’ve been a couple of times now and it’s been a great functional workout. The group warms up with light calisthenics and then goes for a run. Often towards and on the«Excorcist steps» near the University. They also incorporate the big rubber bands for resistance training. Sessions last usually for an hour. Running then some kind of circuit training. The best part about it? Pain. Lots of sweat and pain. Nah, just kidding, the best part is that you are surrounded by a welcoming and friendly group of people and its free. Afterwards the group goes for coffee and socializing at Dean and Deluca or somewhere. So if you’re looking for something to do on a Sunday morning to break the monotony and get out of bed or get off the couch, come and check it out.
