I visited the Brainfood Homegrown Market stall that is inside Union Market. After sampling the apple cider black tea, I ordered a cup of it. It was a cold tea, more like cider that I could have had over ice, but I just had it slightly cooled. It was sweet and delicious and the perfect beverage for a warmish December day. Prior to ordering, I also learned a bit more about Brainfood and how they work with DC youth in after school programs. So not only was my apple cider black tea delicious, all profits generated by Brainfood Homegrown go back towards Brainfood youth programs. Not only can you eat well, you can feel good about giving back at the same time!
