I’m at this park all the time. The equipment is fairly new although some of it has been a little damaged by rough playing. I like that there are a few features that are somewhat age appropriate for my toddler. It’s also near my favorite coffee shop/roastery(Harrar), Howard University, and the community garden. Honestly, I come here to relax sometimes… and a little gardening would be great but whenever I start to get into it, the little one is shoving handfuls of potting soil in his mouth. Basketball courts and a tennis court make this park a popular in the neighborhood. On weekends, there tends to be a short wait for the tennis court.

Great community space on the line between Columbia Heights and Park View. This park has two basketball courts, a large shaded gazebo in the center(with a few benches, no picnic tables), and two playground structures. It also has lots of grass space which is pretty sad/beat up during the summer heat. The best part of the park is the attached community garden which is full of gorgeous plants, some of which you are able to enjoy(please note which bins are marked ‘private’ and which are marked ‘shared’). The garden includes a bee hive and the space is partially maintained by Casey Trees.
