This is not a place I would generally go to – basement, sports bar scene but ended up here on a Sunday afternoon recently, and had a blast playing Skee ball and darts. Stick with light beer and come for the games and you’ll be set!

Hands down this is my favorite place to watch sports. Even during March madness when it was mad crowded they have enough tables and back areas that I had no problem finding a place to sit. Drink specials are meh, actually maybe a little worse than meh but I think the environment makes up for it. Also I LOVE bars with games so that’s a huge plus for me. If you like sports and you don’t care who knows than you should definitely come here.

Great atmosphere. Definitely recommend for small or large groups. Very nice sports bar with a twist. There are pool tables, basketballs, dart boards, etc. Great place to have fun, eat good food, catch up with friends while watching a quick sports game. Only con I probably have about this place is I’m not a big fan of their drinks. I don’t drink beer so I’m always looking for a great bartender that knows his«stuff«when it comes to mixing drinks. I have been here twice once for Margarita March(the margarita tasted very syrup like) and once with friends, I have yet to find a drink I liked. However there are dozens of bars nearby so it’s not a eliminating factor for me. The other great perks is what makes me inclined to come back.

I always have fun here. Plenty of things to do like skeeball, pool, shuffle board, ping pong, basketball, and video games. I never really have to wait that long for a drink and plenty of tvs to watch games. Sometimes it can be tough to play pool, and the prices should be a set price per hour not by how many people are playing.

I have actually never written a negative review. You can check my profile a see that. Here is what I am reviewing: I showed up with one male friend and 2 females. The male friend and I played games, ordered shots, beers, and while being somewhat loud while hanging out, no one had a problem with us. The two females with us ordered food and 2 glasses of champagne. They actually sat at the bar the whole time. Minimal noise, no issues. The bartender, a small bald gent, decided to cut the ladies off and close their tab… no conversation with them, no warning, no logic. I felt bad for the manager Pedja, he had just arrived there and was put in a terrible situation by a questionable employee at best. I have zero doubt that this bartender held gender bias, and I confronted this issue. It was maddening being a veteran that has fought for equal rights all over the world. I WILLNEVERRETURN to this establishment as long as they choose to employ sexist employees with questionable judgement. I will gladly corroborate and support my statement.

It’s way too loud. Unnecessarily loud. I don’t mean the people here — I mean the music they play and the volume of the TV. I also wish they just had one great vegan options and labeled it as such. Places like this can easily broaden their appeal this way — and they could make the vegan option gluten-free and nut-free. That way you cover 99%+ of dietary restrictions with one dish.

MAKESURETOCHECKYOURBANKSTATEMENTS if you decide to use your debit card or credit card at this establishment. I came to Buffalo Billiards on a Friday night to celebrate a birthday with a coworker. Security at Buffalo Billiards could use some tightening up. I was able to walk right through the front entrance and proceed back to the private party area without being carded at the door. Security ran up behind me and asked to see my ID. Sorry buddy, but you should have asked me for that when I first entered the establishment. If it’s a common occurrence for people to bypass your entrance without being properly checked, they have got to make some adjustments because no business wants to have it’s liquor license suspended or revoked because they served alcohol to an underage adult. Don’t believe me… Go ask the owner of Love(formerly Dream) and see what happens. I placed an order in for some french fries and some buffalo wings. The fries were okay. A little mushy and not cooked all the way. The buffalo wings were pretty decent. I didn’t appreciate how the ranch dressing they served with the buffalo wings was very watery. I’m sick and tired of restaurants adding water to their ranch dressing and blue cheese dressing just to stretch out the quantity. To be honest, what do you expect from a dirty run down bar filled with drunk college students. The drinks were watered down. So remember how I said I came to Buffalo Billiards on a Friday night? When I checked my bank statement on Tuesday, the same amount that was processed on Friday appeared as second transaction on that Tuesday. Yes, you’re reading that correct. A second transaction popped up 4 days later and it caused me to have a zero balance. When I called Buffalo Billiards, a lady by the name of Erica(who later told me she was a manager) answered the phone. I informed her that I was charged twice and she asked me to provide the last 4 digits of my debit card. She placed me on a brief hold and when she returned, she told me that my debit card was only charged once because she only had an approval code for one of the transactions. I replied that I was looking right at my bank statements and that a transaction was made on Friday and then again on Tuesday for the same amount. At this point, Erica sounded like she was getting upset and kept having quick responses for everything I was saying to her. She acted like I was bugging her. She kept saying that they only made one transaction and claimed that it must have been the bank that ran the transaction twice. I couldn’t believe how she kept making it seem like I was lying to her. Why in the world would the bank run a Point of Sale transaction on my account for Buffalo Billiards?! Again, I told Erica that I was looking right at my bank statement and that it was two transactions for the same amount from the same locations processed on two different days. Erica then tells me that I have to wait 3 – 4 business days to have my money returned to my account. Why should I have to wait 3 – 4 business days to get my money back for a mistake they made?! It clearly was their fault and I asked how were they going to settle the mistake. Again, she blamed the bank for the error and continued to have a very nasty attitude when she was explaining everything to me. Erica is clearly not fit to be a manager if she’s going to have an attitude when a customer is trying to resolve a mistake her business made. I was forced to contact my bank and have a customer service representative contact Buffalo Billiards to expedite the process since I was broke. When the customer service rep called, Erica answered the phone again. The customer service rep reiterated everything I had explained to Erica earlier and she asked the rep if the bank wanted the approval number. The rep asked Erica if they could fax over a statement saying the transaction was a mistake and that they weren’t seeking the funds for the second transaction. Erica got fed up and said«Yeah, let’s just quickly resolve this because the customer was yelling at me and threatening me.» I didn’t appreciate the lies she told to the rep. I wasn’t yelling at her. I raised my voice a little bit because they weren’t trying to take responsibility for their mistake. And the threat she was referring to was me saying I was going to leave a bad Unilocal review. How is that a threat?! Anyway, the money got returned shortly after, but I’m disgusted because Buffalo Billiards wasn’t trying to offer any solution except to tell me to wait the 3 – 4 business days. How can I survive with a zero balance for 3 – 4 business days. What I don’t understand is how people treat others like crap, but they wouldn’t want to be treated like crap if the shoe was on the other foot. So my advise is to stay far away from this place. If this is your late night spot for drinking since it closes at 3am, BRINGCASH!!!

Had a fun time shooting pool, but they weren’t closing at 3am as advertised. We were asked to leave our table at 2:30am rather rudely by some pip-squeak who lied to our faces & said«I told you we close at 230!» And we really were about 4 shots away from finishing the game.

I’ve been to Buffalo Billiards quite a few times since moving to Arlington a couple years back. My experiences have included playoff football, playoff baseball, and March Madness. I’m not usually someone who enjoys watching sports outside the comfort of my home unless I’m at the game, so I usually stay away from bars when watching any sporting event. Buffalo Billiards is not one of those places. If you have a solid group of friends with you to enjoy a game, this is a great spot to come to. BB has a tonnnnn of space — not just for a sports bar — any bar. There are a ton of pool tables(go figure), shuffleboard, pop-shot basketball, ski ball, and some other miscellaneous games for people to play in between sports or if you’re just in the mood for some arcade-like games. They’re also usually running some sort of special on a couple different types of beers. During March Madness one special was $ 21 pitchers of Alagash white. There were proably six 12oz beers-worth in the pitcher so it was great. The food is pretty decent as well. It’s not just a place you have to only drink at so feel free to order something off their menu. If you’re looking to get away from Bdubs or a normal sports bar and you have some friends with you, Buffalo Billiards is a great spot to be.

Every time I visit DC I always seem to wind up at Buffalo Billiards. Order the waffle fries! Potentially the best bar food in the city! Overall Buffalo Biliards has gotta rank as one of the top sports bars I’ve ever been too — from both a viewing perspective and from a playing perspective. Buffalo Billiard’s has the full spectrum of bar games from darts and pool to arcade games to shuffle board. The cavernous space will hold plenty but don’t get me wrong, on game day this bar just off Du Pont circle is over flowing with a motley crew of drunk frat stars to DC sports fanatics. Bucket of beers for $ 17 doesn’t break the bank either. The bouncers are on the slightly aggressive side.

Yeah I think I’ll pass. If you need to briefly catch part of a game by all means come by. Not really worth staying around for a long time. Bartender was not very courteous to my friend when he was ordering food.

I’ve been here a few times now, when it’s been so busy that I’ve stepped out of here after 5 minutes. On a slower day and last time for the Super Bowl. Already been through the first time and there wasn’t much to say, it was pretty frat house like and so crowded that my cute female friends couldn’t even get the attention of the bartenders. The second time was Sunday afternoon to watch some football and it was okay, definitely not as crowded, service was better but honestly not that much of an improvement. Our server was kind of stand offish but we managed to get her attention when we needed it. The Superbowl, was actually surprisingly okay. The crowd was huge but we managed to get a couch near the back(I mean, we all kind of ignored what fluids and other things probably were on it. They had a good system to ordering food and our bartender was friendly enough and remembered us as we went back up to order. So, to average it all out it’s a 3.

I haven’t had great experiences at Buffalo Billiards so it’s actually been years since I’ve been back here. I came last night because of a birthday event and have to say I was impressed. I never realized how HUGE the venue is. They have two outdoor patios, private party rooms, bars dispersed throughout the entire venue, and a variety of games: arcade games, pool, darts, and shuffleboard. Our party was about 40 people at one point. We essentially took over one corner where one of the bars was closed and then we started breaking off to venture to the games and other spots. There wasn’t any point of time when we felt overcrowded and we fed off of the positive vibe of everyone around us. Pool has peak pricing and off peak pricing. Peak pricing seems expensive but it makes sense because there has to be a way to limit time for other people to get a table. Food was okay. I wasn’t drinking so I couldn’t care less about the alcohol, but I did notice that service was pretty poor. It was difficult to get the bartender’s attention at the bar and it took a long time for the servers to return to the tables. Then again, the place is humongous so it could also mean that there were just too many people. If you have a big group and don’t want to reserve a space, just come here. There is plenty to do and plenty of space to do them. I wish I could give this place more stars based on last night’s experience because I did have a lot of fun; but, until service is fixed too, my other experiences still hold some weight. Maybe improve the food? Props overall though!

This is such a fun place to be at! First and for most — the wide selection of games is just wonderful. It’s so much fun to live from time to time the regular bar where you go out and drink and eat and talk, and to add to this package also games! My personal favorite game there is the basketball, but I’m sure anyone will find his own preference. The alcohol selection is decent, and every day they have another special deal. The downside of this place is the food — first, I think that the variety is not so great, but more important — not so tasty. Last time I took the classic potato skins — which I would definitely ***not*** take again. It was only 3 pieces of half small potatoes, with tons of cheddar cheese(not a good one), and it was just not good…

The overall appeal of this place for me is the size. It is a really large sports bar(maybe the largest?) in DC. You have to go downstairs to enter and it is kind of hidden from the street but once you get inside it really opens up. There is always ample seating here for any sporting event or gathering of your friends. Unfortunately, the service at the table leaves a lot to be desired. Every time I have been here I have had to wait at least 7 – 10 minutes(sometimes longer) before anyone even acknowledges my presence. It’s almost as if the wait staff doesn’t want you to sit down. The lackluster service continues once you place your order. You literally have to be on the lookout and grab them as they walk by or you will be without drinks/condiments for a while. Be warned. The food is pretty decent. The burger is solid and the chicken wrap is tasty. It’s labeled a buffalo chicken wrap but for scared taste buds like mine they’ll make it a BBQ chicken wrap. Just tell ‘em I sent ya! They also have plenty of games to keep you occupied between games. Shuffle board, pool, skee ball, basketball, etc. Oh, and they also show all the UFC fights and boxing matches for free(no cover). If you’re in DC and looking for a solid sports bar give this one a look!

Breakdown: Good food Good beer Large bar All the games on I enjoyed this place for a college game day and lunch. There weren’t many people there and the very large space was nice. They had many games to play life ping pong, pool and shuffle board that I never got around to them. I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap with a side salad and a couple beers. The buffalo chicken wrap was good. With a good amount of vegetables and chicken, the flavor was pretty balanced. I was given a nice sized side salad, which was nothing like the typical dinky ones you could get. They had drink specials for every day of the week.

So I used to come here in my younger days and it still is a great place for a crowd. This was the first stop on The Mojito March and I personally did not like the mojito served(reminded me of cough syrup). My friend however did, so I gave her mine to drink as well. Music was great. The bartender was fun to talk to. I think if you’re looking for a place to watch sports, play pool or other games such as skeetball, table tennis, possibly even beer pong-this is the place to go in Dupont.

The ambiance is amazing! There are numerous pool tables and different games to play! Pool cost about $ 9/hour. Skeeball is 50 cents a game and basketball is a dollar a game. There’s also a ping pong table, darts, shuffle boards, and more. The servers are quick and efficient. I was there with an organization and their service was quick! However, I was not impressed with the food at all. If anything, it was probably one of the worst foods we’ve had in a while. The burgers were ok; nothing to be excited about. We ordered chicken tenders because it looked great, but the texture and taste was bland. It just wasn’t good. I’ll definitely be back for the games, but eat somewhere before or after.

Tried to go to Lucky Bar to watch the Barcelona v. Real Madrid game, but they were at capacity and my friend suggested we try Buffalo Billiards. We were able to get in right away and get a table. There were several tv’s with the game on and many people there with their jerseys on supporting their team. So, it was a great spot to catch the game. We ordered a pitcher of Blue Moon beer and that was brought fairly quickly. My friend was starving and she ordered Nachos and Chicken Tenders. Although the place wasn’t that packed, it seemed to take extra long for us to get our food(I saw a couple of tables order after us, get their food first). It also took a while to flag down our waitress to get water or forks/napkins. I couldn’t imagine being here when it was really busy. But, I was able to watch the game and Real Madrid won.
