I first saw this bridge from Rock Creek Park,(see the photo I posted), and loved the detail on the underside. What a surprise it was to see the large buffalo statues when crossing it. This bridge not only offers some great architechture, but is a great shortcut between Georgetown and Dupont Circle.

If ever a small, out of the way bridge deserved a review, this one would be it. Perhaps more properly known as Dumbarton Bridge, this gem is hidden just south of Sheridan Circle. It is adorned with four large Bison, hence it’s common name. A walk underneath the bridge in rock creek park reveals some further architectural details, but I’ll let you explore that yourself, because that’s half the fun! Not to be missed on your next visit to Dumbarton Oaks. Also, it is top notch in my book for crossing Rock Creek park on Q street.
