Cafe Romeo’s

I’ve lived in the neighborhood since 2013, and I regret that I didn’t discover this place until late 2015. They have super late delivery on the weekends, and I’ve never had them mess up an order or take too long. The food I’ve ordered – pretty much calzones and pizza exclusively – is delicious, generously portioned, and always hits the spot. Their salads are also good, and a great deal given the price and how much they give you.

Finding fresh alternatives for delivery in the city for rainy-​day lunches can be daunting, so I keep coming back here for more (against my better judgement, I might add).
Don’t get me wrong — their food is satisfying, although I’m not convinced it’s «healthy.»
My principle beef with them is their delivery service. They consistently quote 30 – 45 minute wait times when they rarely deliver food within the hour, and more often than not, in excess of an hour and fifteen minutes. When I call to check in on the status of my order, they’re rather indignant about the slow delivery and offer no solution or compensation for not meeting basic expectations of food delivery. My advice to them would be to set more realistic expectations for their customers, and in the rare instance that they were unable to meet their delivery goal, offer a reduction promotion on future orders. This would at least convey a good-​faith attitude about your service.
But alas, I fear that their complacency and mediocrity will never abade.

Went last week with a friend and we got to see outside because the weather was awesome! It was after lunch so there was only one another group in there and only one server, but food didn’t take long at all.
We started with the spinach snd feta triangles– they were good but I wish there was more cheese to spinach ratio but they were tasty and good sharing size.
Got a slice of pepperoni pizza to share and it was huge! And so good. Crispy crust and super cheesy:)
We ended with the Romeos feast sandwich. Lots of toppings and fresh veggies. I took half home because it was so good!
It’s a cute little place right off Wisconsin. Super cozy and friendly staff. Nice little patio. I’ll be back for sure!

horrible just horrible! Dogs wandering around inside. Food is stale and overcooked, the customer service is atrocious. The owner thinks he’s hot shit and one of the staff tried to get my number 3 thumbs down. Bread soda is much better or any of the restaurants north of this hole in the wall rat infested hookah den located next to a cemetery mmm nothing make me hungry like thoughts of dog hair in my mozzarella and corpses next door. I ordered from here quite frequently. Decided to eat in NEVER AGAIN…

This is one of our go to delivery spots.
Not many places still open past three. The pizza is good, especially with fresh mozzarella. The toppings are good quality.
I have not been as happy with the sides. The mozzarellas sticks are usually cold and hard by the time they get delivered.
I really need to go in person sometime to give the food the best judgement. But the delivery is excellent. Usually very quick and reliable at late hours. I would round up to 3.5

Consistently great food – a hidden gem! We order from here practically on a weekly basis! Their calzones are amazing. Manicotti is also excellent. Portions are on the large side which definitely makes this place worth the money.

Café Romeo has a cute seating area outside on the quiet part of Wisconsin ave if you’re looking for good spot to chill with a Hookah.
My boyfriend ordered the ham and cheese sandwich which was given in a portion portion with fries, his review is ⁴⁄₅.

Open late!
Delicious, hot, cheesy cheese pizza served on a cool pizza tray. The buffalo hot wings were delicious and had the perfect amount of heat. The garlic wings weren’t good to me or my date. The wings come with some great cheesy garlic bread and veggies for dipping.

Great late night option with a relatively affordable menu and healthy delicious options. All of the gourmet pizzas I’ve tried are pretty good and the Classic stands out. Can attest to extremely fast delivery, as has been stated in other reviews.

I worked nearby during summer and this place is by far the best lunch spot in the area… Incredible sandwiches for 8 dollars…

We’ve ordered lamb and chicken gyros, cheesesteak, and pizza between 2 different times here. The fries that came with the gyros were a little soggy for my preference, I like really crispy fries, but we got it delivered so that might be why. Reasonably priced for the amount of food that we got. The sandwiches are okay, definitely not the best we’ve ever had. My fiancé likes their pizza, so I think that’s what we’ll stick to ordering if we order from here again.

I wanted a slice of pizza so I walked there from my office. I was greeted by a huge hairy dog at the door that was running around the café. I’m pretty sure there’s a health code violation against this. Needless to say I swifly made a u-​turn.

I made the mistake of ordering coffee with my lunch order. The coffee spilled all over everything.

Great neighborhood place. Unique pizza and wonderful selection of sandwiches. Gyros are delicious. Usually order delivery and it’s pretty quick. Thin crust pizza and real sun dried tomatoes is a favorite.

We used grub hub to get food ordered from here.
I was certainly not a fan. I ordered a salad, and it arrived severely overdressed and with incredibly warm lettuce.
I will not order from here again.

Crust: advertised as thin crust. Came out like a deep dish instead
Toppings: onions tasted raw. Spinach or basil was burnt.
Overall: would not buy from again

I really like this place. The concept is great, healthy gourmet food. My favorite are the Lavash Roll with Spinach and Artichokes. The roll is served with baked (not fried) french fries (sidenote: they never give enough fries for me). The food is consistently good.
I’ve only ever had their delivery, but I understand that this place is also a hookah bar as well. I’d be interested in trying that out as well.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. placed an order for delivery, received it an hour and a half later. Called to complain and the guy on the phone offered no resolution.

Well-​priced for the DC area. The pizza was DELICIOUS. But the order was pretty simple, so eh.
However, the onion rings were a bit lacking. The delivery guy was very nice though, so bump up a star.

We tried this place when looking for delivery options, and it is not getting a place in the regular rotation. We had a margherita pizza, which just didn’t have much flavor at all. They must have realized because in an attempt to amp things up they loaded it with a disgusting amount of balsamic vinaigrette. It’s not even worth it as a late night munchies option. We got fries as well, which were fine, but I’m pretty sure they were just frozen supermarket fries they heated up. One bonus point for prompt delivery. Still, stay away people.
