Carmi & Knoll DDS PC

I went to Dr. Knoll for a cleaning, xrays, exam. While he is a very thorough dentist, they are incredibly expensive. In addition, I had a cavity and needed a filling. He doesn’t do amalgum (silver) fillings and wanted instead to do a porcelain filling for over $ 300. He further recommended I get a night guard, which he wanted to charge me over $ 1100 for. I would not go to this dentist since he is in the business to make money.
I went to another dentist in the same building, Dr. Rusk, who was less than half the price (for cleaning, xrays, exam), no exaggeration. He also told me that the night guard the other dentist recommended me wouldn’t have resolved my problem. Dr. Knoll wanted to bill me over a thousand dollars for something that wouldn’t have worked. I’ve been to plenty of dentists and I would definitely avoid this office.
While their staff are friendly and I got a very thorough cleaning, be weary of both their prices and over-​eager policy to prescribe incredibly expensive devises that cost much less at other dentists (even ones that are in the same building!!)
