The famous duck noodles are pretty good. The Szechuan chicken is serviceable. The service is… efficient.

Beef fried rice and egg drop soups are very good. Seafood wide noodle was so so. Fried squid was below average, not crispy at all. Dumpling was so so too. Basically you have to know what you are ordering. Else you get mixed ratings.

ordered bbq pork and duck over rice from lunch specials when i was craving for hong kong style bbq. bbq pork was not cooked thoroughly while duck seems like leftover. price is not that bad, about $ 6 – 7 range. it also came with a side dish of some crunchy stuffs and a soda. i would probably not go there in the next three years unless i’m really desperate for hong kong bbq at work.

The soup that«every Washingtonian should try» was okay. The duck was a bit chewy and the noodles were more gluten bombs. After adding soy sauce and chili oil, the broth had a bit more flavor. It also was a bit warm, not hot like I think soup should be served. The lobster was excellent. But they said it was 1.5 lbs and it was easily under a pound. The waitress also seemed very miserable and not happy to be working. But then, we have all had bad days serving, so I won’t judge on that alone. The experience was, just as the review that was posted over our table at the restaurant, a little underwhelming.

Placed an order at 10:55 on November 15, 2013. Called to find out where the order was(for delivery) at 11:40 and«the driver is on his way». 12:10…12:15…no food. FINALLY at 12:22 we get a call that the driver is downstairs. Most of the food, as we expected, is cold. Ordered fries, which cannot be reheated, are cold and no explanation from the driver as to why it took so long to deliver. The chicken/shrimp broccoli contained green peppers(?) and the meat left a alot to be desired(flavor and quantity). I think there were 2 shrimp and 4 pieces of chicken in the entire container. Rice was plentiful as over half of the styrofoam container contained packed rice. Egg rolls were bad and one taste is all any of us(4) could fathom. Two ordered fried fish and both said it was«very fishy» and tasted bad. Very, very disappointed to spend this type of money and to not only get bad food, but to have to wait so long for it. After finally receiving this order(and spending over $ 40) and delivery taking almost 1 ½ hours is totally unacceptable, especially for the quality of the food we received. We will continue our search for a reliable and tasty place to delivery on Capitol Hill. These restaurants bombard you with their menus at the subway and then fail to delivery the services. We will NEVER order from here again. Take heed.

I received a menu from China Express almost every week during my 6 week stay at a Residence Inn in Washington DC. At first I was annoyed with the massive amount of menus I was receiving, but there was one day that I came back to the hotel cold and wet from the rain that I really was craving Chinese food and did not want to go back out in the rain for food. Thankfully I had saved one of the menus from China Express. The menu had a lot of good food options and offered pint and quart sizes depending on how much you wanted to eat. I ordered the pint size which was good for at least two people. I ordered the chicken lo mein and the broccoli with garlic sauce. They were both really good. It was expensive Chinese food, but I was happy to pay a little more money not to leave my hotel room. I did not want to order that much food but according to the menu, the restaurant will only deliver for orders that are at least $ 10. The food came within 30 minutes. Overall I had a good experience with this business. According to their menu, they offer lunch specials between the hours of 11am-3:00pm for $ 6.25. Their lunch specials include an entrée dish with fried rice and an egg roll. Sounds like a good deal to me.
