DON’T PARK HERE EVER!
We attended the Fleetwood Mac show at the Verizon Center in DC Jan. 30, 2015.
We had parked at Gallery PLace before and were just charged the regular parking rates. Not the case last night.
They charged $ 40. F O R T Y BUCKS!!! Unfortunately, I didn’t see the price till we were halfway in the garage and a bunch of cars were behind us so we couldn’t back out. The line to get in was ridiculous. Because these highway robbers were collecting $ 40 from each patron instead of giving them the regular ticket.
And the other reason?
THE GARAGE WAS FULL! Yes, the garage was full yet they were taking more cars and double parking them. Great. I told the attendant we wouldn’t be back until long after the show since we were going to dinner afterwards and he said no problem, go to the first floor to get your vehicle and the garage is open 24 hrs.
So we come back around 12:30 to the first floor office. The attendant gets our key, shows us our car and rudely says «I waited a long time for you.»
WTF??? SO SORRY TO make you wait after I spent $ 40 to parking in your crappy garage. What exactly am I keeping you from? Your job is to get cars for people at a 24 hour garage. Were you going to sneak off and hit the bars once I got my car. What a bizarre and rude statement. Worst garage experience ever.

Definitely bring cash and drive in slowly. One drive lane for both incoming and outgoing traffic. Try not to run over people. It’s affordable.
