Great opportunity to provide pro bono professional services to local non-​profits via Compass. They select/​screen/​vet non-​profits in order to ensure that volunteers are assigned to projects with a potential for having an impact.
Currently, Compass organizes 200+ professional volunteers to work on 3 kinds of projects with local non-​profits: board development, strategic planning, and fundraising. It has a proven track record (high ROI that is explicitly calculated), and a useful online repository that supports institutional memory and knowledge sharing.
It’s a great way to give back to the community, to meet other like-​minded individuals and it is an opportunity to gain leadership and consulting experience.
