At first I wasn’t 100% sure where this was located, after my friend «google map» showed me the closest metro stop (Mount Vernon-​Yellow & Green Line Metro stop), I then said «oooooooohhhh got it»…I went for the art opening of «EXTRAOrdinary» where 8 local artists were selling and putting their work on display for the night. The space is small, but fits well in this neighborhood. One of the pieces on display that stood out the most was the pull out couch mounted on the wall with an outline of a body on it… how can you NOT notice that. But in addition to that there are the traditional oil on canvas & photography pieces that are also on display including some really cool commercial art pieces that included: Matt Wetekamp, Jim Menkhaus, among some more traditional art pieces by Reuben Neugass and Benjamin Lozovsky,…just to name a few artists that I saw there.
If you’re in the area, definitely make a stop, it’s worth it. Can’t wait to see the other events that they hold in the future at this spot.
