Great French fries but the waitress was a pretty big bitch. Great vibes other than her!

Decent food but terrible service. Bartenders wouldn’t look at us twice to order food or drinks and we were a group of four sitting at the bar. Even for a busy night it’s kind of crazy that it took 10 – 15 minutes to even get a bottle of beer or a menu. Wouldn’t recommend this place based on service.

Awesome bottomless«DIY» bloody marys for just $ 10 off the brunch menu. You get a small pitcher of vodka, a pitcher of spicy tomato juice, and a glass of ice garnished with… a crispy chicken wing! *See pic* Mix yourself and enjoy. Brunch entrees are just OK. I’ve had tastier eggs benedict for around the same price at other restaurants. But I would come here again just for some simple eggs and bacon, because 1. the bloody marys; 2. the complimentary monkey bread — so good and less sweet than a cinnamon roll; and 3. the friendly service.

Such a great location. Really need to train the wait staff. My friend and I had breakfast there this morning. Great seat in the window on a beautiful Saturday. We were seated promptly~ not crowded. Waitress took our coffee orders… waited…waited. After 10 minutes we asked the bartender if he could locate our waitress. Wow… obviously not part of his job description. Eventually our server, Salame(sp.) arrived. She was pleasant just very inefficient. Got some of the order correct… but it took 20 minutes for oatmeal! Never checked back. Oatmeal was barely warm but we didn’t want to make a career out of our breakfast so we just ate it. We managed to piss off the surly bartender when we requested 2 glasses of water. I was standing at his completely empty bar when making this request. After we finished our meal, we waited 30 minutes again for the bill. No one offered more coffee… no effort to clear our table. I’ve had better service at IHOP. Pretty location– my friend and I eat our breakfast out every Saturday and Sunday. We were hoping for an upscale location… horrible service. We won’t return. Pity~ we are locals.

Walking from DuPont circle, sick with a head cold, not thinking clearly, I didn’t have a restaurant piced out for breakfast. We will stumble across something, I thought. Georgetown is full of sidewalk bistros, I thought. No! We walked forever before we found Daily Grill. It was fantastic. So glad we didn’t give up. The sausages were monumental. So yummy. Great food. The sweetest waiter.

Had the pesto, no chicken. Soo good. Careful… Gratuity already included. I double tipped in error. Did not expect that.

Veggie egg white omelette? Yum! Mushrooms, tomato salsa and scallions! Fresh sliced tomato(lots of ‘em) and a few dollops of guacamole to complete your experience. You’ll be full but not stuffed. Nice drink or business meeting spot too.

My new favourite in the Hood of George. The Smoked salmon Benedict alone would have provided George Washington with enough reason to fight off King George in the Battle of Delaware, for King George was no doubt in search of this magnificent breakfast in the heart of his own hood. For those who missed my reviews on Unilocal, the kid is back. I’ve been hangin’ in locals beyond the reach of Unilocal, from Macau to Khon Kaen, and was unable to Helpless and Unilocalless.

My 2 friends and I stopped by the Daily Grill on Sunday, June 21 around 2:30pm. We went in because of their sign outside advertising Happy Hour Sat & Sun ALLDAY! Once we got in there, the bartender was very unhappy, clearly not wanting to wait on us. The bar was empty! So I’m not sure what that was all about. We inquired what the happy hour specials were and he said he’d have to go check with the kitchen. 15 minutes later waiting, my friend spoke with the manager who informed us it was not happy hour on a holiday. My friend told them about their advertising outside and was told«No restaurants are having specials on this holiday». That wasn’t the point. It was blatant false advertising. After our 1 round of drinks we left and the sign was still outside advertising Happy Hour all day Sat & Sunday.

One of the best overall and most consistent restaurants in DC. We moved here a year ago and have struggled to find consistently good food in the area that isn’t outrageously priced. But this place is one of the only ones we go back to. We’ve had brunch(lox bagel, house burger, bloody marys), lunch(naked wings, Mediterranean sandwich) and dinner(short ribs, filet mignon with bleu cheese, draft beers, cucumber mule) and I do not have a single complaint. Just really, really tasty and well prepared food. My favorite has been the short ribs and the bloody mary. The short ribs were fall apart tender with an unbelievable sauce and mashed potato that wasn’t overpowered with horseradish. I was worried about that when I ordered it but it was so well balanced. Their bloody mix is the best in DC– hands down. And its unlimited for 10 bucks! My fiancé’s favorite has been the filet and hes a sucker for lox. Their filet was perfectly done. They do not skimp on the lox which is much appreciated. Also, 5 stars for the service. We have yet to have a subpar experience. Hamza was a great waiter and the lovely woman bartender is always a treat when we come in for sunday brunch at the bar. We just ate there tonight and already looking forward to another meal

Another great experience(our third) at the Daily Grill. My wife and I were riding our bikes through Georgetown and stopped here for breakfast. The Spanish skillet rocks! The coffee was great… and the fresh orange juice was awesome. You can really tell the difference here because they use fresh ingredients.

Not a bad place to visit for a snack or drink in the evening. They have plenty of seating available, which was perfect when my fiancé and a friend visited, since we couldn’t really find any other place in Georgetown where we could sit and chat after dinner. I ordered a salad(came with arugula, quinoa, corn, and red bell pepper) and it was OK. Nothing extraordinary and I did feel like they skimped a bit on the ingredients in the salad, as it was mostly just lettuce and the other ingredients were very tiny and hidden away in the lettuce. My fiancé ordered a sandwich(came with bacon, an egg, and guacamole) and liked it decently enough, except the egg melted all over his sandwich and made it soggy. He did like the hefeweisen beer he ordered, however. Our friend got a chocolate dessert and I think he was the happiest of the 3 of us in his choice. I would post pictures of the food(as I usually try to do), but my phone battery was too low to allow me to take pictures during our meal there. Service was decent enough and I liked the low key ambiance. The only issue is that they don’t stay open too late on the weekends. They turned on all the lights(an indication that it was time to leave) around 11pm. In short, nothing spectacular, but a decent place to visit if you want dessert or a snack. Just don’t expect amazing food.

I came to the Daily Grill for a team dinner with a bunch of my coworkers on a Tuesday night. However, our service was not great. Our waiter and bartender had a misunderstanding with an order which would be reason enough to not come back to this establishment due to their unprofessionalism. What we drank: We ordered the Stage Leap wine cellars bottle and it was fantastic. Must try! What appetizer: We ordered their large loaded mac & cheese side, which comes with three cheeses, mushrooms and double smoked bacon. It was pretty delicious. What I ordered: I decided to go with their braised short ribs served with horseradish mashed potatoes and caramelized onion au jus. It was a little overcooked and did not fall off as I was hoping, so I probably won’t order this again if I come back. Overall, it was a decent entrée.

Went here for breakfast and the food was Not very good food at all. Fast service if you’re in a rush but quality was sub-par. No wait to get a table on a Sunday morning should of been an indication that this place wouldn’t be that great.

Joined a friend for dinner and drinks after a late night in the office. This location was not as alive as the downtown DC location, but that probably has something to do with the location. It’s in a bethesda hotel and has to compete with other hotel restaurants. We sat in the bar area. The service was just ok because there was only one bartender and he was covering the bar, bar area, and running food for the bar. However, he was very nice. I had the tilapia with brown rice and asparagus. It was well seasoned. I would order it again. My friend had the tuna tacos. He gobbled them up. So, I guess they were good too. I walked over from my office. So, I’m not sure of the parking situation. However, it is right at the Bethesda Metro station. So, easily accessible via public transportation.

One of those days– started with a breakfast meeting here here, took a conference call in the bar, and then had a lunch meeting here. Surprised I didn’t start getting mail here! For breakfast the service was poor. They seemed understaffed. I ordered the bagel and lox. It comes already put together. The two halves of the bagel have a small amount of cream cheese, a tomato, thinly sliced onion and lots of capers. I asked for more cream cheese when I finally spotted the waiter. But by then I was halfway done. The bagel was burned a little on the edges(black). But the portion of salmon was generous. Very generous. The bar was loud midday. One guy at the bar was yelling about the wait for his meal. Lunch was quiet with the exception of a a child nearby. The French fries were really good and warm! The house salad was very good with plenty of mixed greens and the dressing served on the side. Three people ordered a main salad with salmon and it looked good. One person ordered a burger– looked good too! I would say four stars for lunch and two stars for breakfast so I am giving it 3 stars.

This restaurant would receive better ratings if the service better. I ordered a cup of the Manhattan Clam and a chicken avocado salad with no tomatoes. It took 20 minutes for the soup to arrive and another 20 for the salad and my husband’s turkey melt. The place was slow, a couple of tables. The chowder was one of the best, the salad was served with the tomatoes so I picked them out, otherwise it was tasty. My husband liked his sandwich. As for a fast lunch every process had a wait time for the hostess to greet you to placing an order. Our sever was doing the best that she could but she needs to be supported by her staff. 1.5 hours for lunch way too long.

We had plans to meet friends for drinks in the area, but we didn’t know where to eat, it was a Friday evening so most places were packed and since we didn’t have a ton of time we chose this place purely out of convenience. We were seated right away and our waiter came over shortly after. Our waiter talked for what seemed like a very long time, but he was very nice. We looked over the menu and decided to share the ahi tuna appetizer and the moroccan chicken entrée. I ordered a skinny margarita and my girlfriend ordered a ginger cocktail. My drink was so delicious! It was nice and light– I hate when margaritas have a ton of syrup and this one was absolutely perfect. My girlfriend’s drink was also very good. The bread was flavorful, soft and fresh so we enjoyed that as well. Our appetizer was pretty large, it’s definitely something o share. The tuna was very good, it had peppercorn around it and alongside was ginger and wasabi of course and also some really tasty lightly fried nori. Our entrée was OK– I love that they served brown rice and the chicken and veggies were cooked well, but they definitely should add some spices to give it some flavor– it was on the low cal menu, but low Cal doesn’t mean it needs to lack flavor. I found the prices to be high for the food and atmosphere; I think I would visit again for a drink and an app, but I wouldn’t visit for a whole meal.
