First to the reviewer who called the office a «shit show.» This is a FAMILYPRACTICE. As it clearly says in the listing for this business. Don’t expect a private hospital, and don’t expect the VA. It is old school with a new school philosophy. The office is in a converted house, in a neighborhood. So, yes, it is not as expensive. Especially for a guy like me paying out of pocket. Yes, my appt. was at 2pm and I sat on a cozy bench with some elderly friendly african americans(I am a 40 something white guy) and it was a fine. If you go see a doctor, and there is only one doctor, and there are four people waiting — expect to wait. They have a TV for everyone to see, CNN and I got called at 2:40. On the flip side — after being called I was done in a matter of minutes. I hate places where they call you and then put you in a room for 30 minutes to wait, so you feel like you are being serviced, but really your just in another waiting room. Dr. McGinty’s staff is friendly but not overly. They do there job with efficiency. Like they should. Dr. McGinty is well worth the wait — kind, caring, interested and knowledgeable. Great bedside manner, even if it feels like you are in his house. I will see him again, and perhaps again if necessary. If you have the time, patience and would like the forward thinking thoughts and medical practices, I highly recommend visiting him.

I waited for two hours after my appointment time to see the doctor. There was no explanation. What a shit show. I’m never coming back.

Dr. McGinty has an outstanding bedside manner and spends plenty of time with patients. His advice for minor medical issues over the years has been very good, especially since he knows his patients well and can keep track of their issues. Perhaps as a result of word of mouth, his waiting room is sometimes full and there can be a wait to see him. This is true of most doctors though. Overall, a great doctor providing personalized care.
